Do custom roof patterns count as custom content? I'm just wondering because I'm embarking on building a cottage and would like it to have a thatched roof, but if it's not allowed I'll have to settle for tile.

I think yes, because anything that's not EA made counts as CC here, even if roof patterns are just picture files I believe unlike furnishing and others which are 3d made and therefore have a mesh and can mess up your game,

Adding onto what kiko said, I believe it would be cc because you can't use CAS on a roof normally.

Oh, and the typo is it should be roofs not rooves I think.

I just looked it up.  Roofs is the more common form but both roofs and rooves are correct.

That's a bummer. I was hoping it might fall into the patterns category, but best to err on the side of caution though.

Slightly off topic, but related to why I'm asking about thatch, is anyone here a WoT reader? (My upcoming cottage is going to be called 'The Wisdom's Cottage', or somethig along those lines.)

According to Dictionary.com, the World English Dictionary identifies the plural of roof as roofs. So, I'm going to change this title.

I'm sorry, Chuckles.  That's too far off topic and not related to Sims 3.  You can discuss it in the Babble Thread, though.
