WA Egypt Skeleton Keys

Can anyone tell me how to use the skeleton keys.  I am in the great pyramid and there are several doors that are requiring certain keys of which I have not found and I thought purchasing the skeleton keys from the special merchant would work.  But when I am in the pyramid, it will not let me use them.

If a lock requires a specific key that you obtain through an adventure, the skeleton key won't work.  But there are other doors that just need a regular crescent or whatever kind of key.  Those should take the skeleton keys.

I know that I have tried that skeleton key on many non adventure doors and I cannot get that silly thing to work.  I like to explore sometimes when on vacation, so I tried it over and over again, so I am not sure if it is a glitch or the key is a waste of coins.  I have even tried using it on adventures and it does not work.  You can't sell it or get it out of your inventory either.  It doesn't really bother me that it is there, but I wish it would work on something.

I've had them work on doors that use a Star, Crescent or Heart key before. I think those are the only ones that they will work on.

If you can't get it to work on those doors, try checking the relic merchant as they sometimes have those keys for sale.

I found that if you get a key, go home, leave it at home and go on holiday they have given me a new one.
