Moveobjects on Magic
« on: September 24, 2011, 10:17:14 PM »
So, I suppose we all know how to do this:

If you don't then, this is how I did this one.

I started like this. I had in mind putting a hot-tub under it, but really you can use it for an outdoor kitchen, a
fire pit, and even for a wedding set-up.
I picked one of the small fences, I don't remember the name, and went around it. It didn't let me at first because
it didn't have the slots, so I added a column right in  the middle.

See? Enough slots for everyone.

Decide the pattern (Pattern, I guess) you want to make.

Here I made simple squares. But then I though, 'This looks boring.'
Now what I really want to show: The magic of MOO.
Turn moveObjects on, and go to your flowers tab, in Build. Pick the Heather and if you have the one that came with LN.
Place it randomly on the fence thingy and it adds color and detail to (what's this called?) this!

Underneath the heather I placed The Daisiesof Our Lives. Remove the column. Then I went down one floor and placed my item. The hot-tub.

Different angle.
Another one, just bigger, with a different pattern and clover under.

I just thought I share, if this has already been posted or you knew, my bad  :D

That looks good. I've made the roofs like that over a hot tub before but hadn't thought of putting anything on top of it. Thanks for sharing the idea. :)

Hi, this is another desperate attempt to bring the section up
I am one of those who tend to stay inside the "box", I had a lot of trouble getting Ideas, a couple of days earlier, I found a thread at the official forums, it had a lot of inspiration for me on how to use moveobjects on,so I gave it a try  and got to tell you, it really boosts up your creativity and the quality of your lots, I will post here some of the things I made so far, in hope that there will be more who join me on a journey to improve the quality of our buildings, there is much to do, And I'm sure everyone can contribute
Remember that it takes some time to make quality Items, use Creat A Style, and possibilities are endless, you will never have to use CC in your Life !

Creat A new  Statue !

Nothing better to Seperate Areas !

Science !

If I get some activity here, I will try come up with more, tell me what you think

One thing I love to use MOO for is working with end tables and coffee tables to make more interesting designs.  This is 3 coffee tables arranged in an 'I' pattern.

This also works well with:
- fountains, as you've mentioned Kiko
- dining tables (see Grimsoul's Victorian house in the Swap Shop)
- certain sofas (to make a sectional look that is a little classier than the sectional pieces that are currently available)
- landscaping (to make rock clusters with flowers sweeping over them)
- do it yourself shelving using pillars and Generations shelves (I forget if it was Saltypaws or Schipperke who gave me that idea, but I'm pretty sure it was one of them)
- right-angle bunk beds (loft bed on top, single bed turned at a right angle to the loft bed underneath and to one side)
- decor on glass divider walls (make a wall that is 3 spaces wide and add the large window so that it looks like a glass divider wall - using MOO you can hang paintings or other art on the window/wall)

MOO is great and fun to mess with. I used it in several places in the last house I uploaded to the swap shop.

The kitchen for placing the counters together at angles and putting the trash compactor and dishwasher in.

The dining room to make a big dining table that seats 12 by placing 4 dining tables together.

Placing 3 flower boxes together to make 1 big box.

The pond for placing the tree, rocks and plants in the water.

The fountain is a combination of moveobjects and constrainfloorelevation to place a statue on the fountain and the flowers around it.
A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory.

At LoveSims, I'm sure you can build, you just never tool the time to really get into it, if you really want to, you can always start by view the thread that's stickied, SimsWiki, and youtube, also there are a lot of talented builders on facebook, Always look at lots and "study" them, you can really improve that way

I suggest looking at Curtis Paradis on Youtube, lovesims. He uses no Custom Content, and is quite famous.
My question is for grimsoul - what tables did you use? Curtis used a table from the store, I think, to do that in his White House build.
