Collecting Queen - Buznik Adventures
« on: September 24, 2011, 05:51:43 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm Angela Buznik..

You can guess some of my personality only by looking on my clothes. But don't mistake me with some party animal. I'm a loner, feeling best when left alone. With a good book, I don't need to talk to anyone for days. Some call me bookworm >:( That is one of the reasons I'm writing down my story instead of telling it to everyone. It's not that I don't like people, just that I trust only myself, and even that is not always the case. Yes, I'm perfectionist too, you see, that is why I prefer myself as a company - others are so unreliable and usually not really happy to hear all the things that are wrong and should be improved. I always strive to become better person than I am today. My true passion is travel - but not to shop and visit tourist attractions,no, deep inside I'm true adventurer who seeks challenges, brain puzzles and physical perfection. One day I'll do it. I'll have my own Museum with artifacts never seen before. And I'll have them all! And if you by some chance wonder how will I raid tombs in high heals - wait and see. I'm not afraid of anything and I can look good doing it ;).

Soo.. I needed a place.. and while browsing internet for real estate offers, I came across this fantastic offer - huge apartment, near City Hall for just above 6 000$ Wow.

This town is ugly, but at least I got cheap place to live in and a nice view. Is that a dead tree in front???

I need to go somewhere else, somewhere where life is not this damaged! Ahh good, at least School has some live trees, but still, my feets are itchy.. I need to go.. world here I am!

China, first trip

Day 1

Huh that's better.

I heard there are some nice books there.. worthless here but back home they are worth a fortune! And I do need something to finance my trips, before money starts to pour in.. it's not stealing really.. I think.. Never mind, that is a minor detail we may forget.
Ahh there it is. A board, just what I was looking for!

Some woman named Abi Yat Sen is looking for someone to retrieve an ancient relic from nearby tomb. What!? A tomb nearby!? Ancient relics!? Already!?!? I better run before someone else grabs it!

What a nice old lady.. But I can't believe, she said that none came to help her even if that advert is on board for ages. Ah well, it has just proven my destiny. Really nice lady.. She sent me to Forbidden City, in Palace of the Lost Army. Wow, that sound so, well, forbidden! I can't wait to go there!

Only transportation here is very slow. No wonder that nature is so beautiful, there is nothing to pollute it here!

There it is. What a place! I can only imagine all the wonders inside!

Well, it may used to be forbidden, but now everyone who want's can enter, even these so "called explorers". I mean, there is a trone, and some ornaments, and large square on floor yelling "jump on me" right there, in front of them, and jet, they are chatting and looking around. I'm on the task, so no further distractions.

Wait, where is my haaaand!?!?

Ahh finally! Treasure chests! And so shiny!!!

One tomb done, countless tombs to go!

Running back to that nice old lady for a prize. Is he my prize? Hmm, sorry :-[

What! I got the stamp! On my first day! That was incredibly easy, yea!

And back to the board. For some nice but still a strange reason, I don't need a toilet, and I'm still feeling strong, soo let's see what else is on this board.. Maya Wang, calling a stranger to report for some mysterious job! And she lives near by.. soo of I go!

Let's see, she want's me to go inside Dragon Cave to check it out. Hmm OK, it's early evening, and that cave is shinning and some steam is there, with a full moon.. Of course I'll go!

Now that is interesting! Deep inside the mountain, there is a beautiful tomb! But wait, what is that.. am I losing my mind? It's some sort of vision.. Ohh I better talk to Maya about this.

I don't have time to check this tomb now. So I leave it like this, unexplored..

OK, That Maya is crazy woman. She is telling me some stories but I need to sleep over that.

I mean, what are the chances of ME being the chosen one, foreigner that will save Dragon Cave.. from what? How? I still don't have a single skill! I just came here! She is crazy and now she wants some rocks from me for some statue.. I need some sleep.

(to be continued...)

China, first trip

Day 2

I came to camp so late that I slept trough most of the second day. What a shame. But it was time to visit that market. I heard that rocks are sold there, and some rare relics can be found, so I just needed to check it out. And buy that board breaker and treasure chest. Hopefully I'll need it soon for my own treasure!

Nice! Pool included! I got all I needed, now where is that Maya now?

OK, so crazy woman took some platinum ores, lapis lazuli rocks and a common relic I find in Palace. She is now building this statue and will let me know when it is done. I still don't really believe her, but will go along. Prize is nice, I get special keys and maps to some great tombs to raid. Free night again, and base is close so I might get some rest. Maybe some of the fellow explorers will share some tips?

Or not.. Books are my friend.. And if I have to save Dragon Cave from something, some fighting skills will shore came in handy.

Day 3

Early morning, and last day in China, at least for this trip. Maya called me and said I should go find Shen Su and spar with him, I should learn how to fight. Ha! I already started that. I bet that Shen will be surprised.
There he is. He seems OK.

OMG What is in the water here? Are they all crazy!? C'mon, I'm wearing white belt here, have one tiny skill in martial arts, and you do that!?!?!?

You crazy sparkling creature, I can defend myself, you know, I'm not afraid of you, and one day I'll defeat you. One day, remember that.

I wonder how I survived this.

Maya was in Academy this time, so I ride a bike across all China to tell her I survived. Hmm.. being tired and waiting for plane back, there was only one thing left to do. I pulled out that little book and started learning how to defeat that maniac Shen.

Thank you loveSims. It is my favorite part of the game and I realized that there is a lot of stories in adventures but I haven't came across any of those here. Also, it might be a little tomb raiding guide since I plan to take pictures of all solved tombs. I'm not shore if this large type of updates is too hard to read and track down. If you and others who reads it have some suggestions, I'll be thankfull if you share them here.

Thanks LoveSims, and to others that read the story  :)

Back home to Day 1, week 1

I came back to this ugly city. It was time to face what I bought - that apartment wasn't so cheap for nothing.

In a blink of an eye, things get changed here. Thanks to those lovely books from camp, I have more than enough money to make this place much more livable. I'm still not happy with it, but for a start, it will do:

That blink that remodeled my apartment was exhausting, and I heard that Bridgeport has the best Mixologists in the SimWorld. So I went down town to check things out (actually it is just near my apartment, Location, location, location)

And I find this nice gentleman here. We had a nice chat, drinks were great indeed, and I didn't mind losing Dart match that much.

Some celebrities came by but I wasn't really interested in them. This town is full of them, and it seems like anonymous Sims are much better companions then snobby paranoid celebrities. Plus paparazzi photo everything around celebrities and that would be a pain for a loner. It is much more comfortable in privacy of anonymity.
For example, you can break boards in your living room, and none would know about it:

I got fatigued, and smelly. After a nice shower, I actually find myself bored. I had enough of the bars for today, TV shows were hmm.. what is the nice word for that.. ah yes, TV channels had only "garbage" on, soo I had time to think. Maybe too much time.
China seemed like it is in completely different Universe. I still can't digest that Maya consider me to be The Chosen One, The Savior. Yea right.. and that maniac that almost killed me? Is that his idea of training? A lot of talk about those ancient relics, tombs, spirits even physical bodies that survived thousands of years.. I need a portion of reality, and what better place for that than Science Facility!

And there: what a shock, what a surprise. In a very entrance in Science Facility, on a board, there was an advert for job openings. They were looking someone to.. Read Tarot Cards!? Really? Science and Tarot? I just HAD to sign in for that. After those "visions" and all the stories I heard, my whole perception of the world is shaken. If there is something paranormal, I'll find it, and if there isn't - I'll sent a research team to investigate the water in China.
It was already a dawn and a time to get some rest. I slept trough all day, and refreshed I waited for the first job to do. And soon I received a call.. it wasn't to read Tarot cards.. but to collect spirits that are wandering around town. Yea right.

What!? Where do you think I should put this.. this gun? And those lights.. those ARE spirits!

This is beyond anything I expected. I collected couple of those little fellows, and they are safely placed in my household inventory basement. No way to escape. After all this, I need to talk to Maya. If she is right, I need to save them as soon as possible. And myself, from losing my mind.

Thanks Joria and Samoht! I'm having a blast, and it's been so long since I played casual game that I forgot I can use cheats and edit town and everything that comes to my mind :D. But still, I'll try to keep it free of cheats and editing except in those rare occasions that they are neccessary.
Also, this is the first time I'm sorting and naming pictures before uploading them in gallery, and it is really helpful, I'll keep doing it in future.
So far, I love playing with this girl and again I'm convinced that WA is the best EP there was so far, with most additions to the base game!

China, second trip

Finally, some peace. I love this place, so tranquil here.. Maya asked me to meditate so I can get a vision from ancient spirit. I was making fun of her then, but after all those spirits I banished in Bridgeport, I'm more than trusting her and her strange stories...

Oh, I saw a chest and some papers.. Ancient writings! and it's hidden somewhere here, Resolute Fist Retreat:

I knew I'll have to work hard to get them, but digging my way trough?

I'm so tired that I need a break, even here, in the middle of the fire. This scripts must be important when they are protected this much!

I believe I can fly...

Finally I solve it, and it's perfect for breaks when on this part of China!

And there is a fridge and nice bath upstairs! Downstairs, on the bottom, it is not so welcoming, despite the Ying Yang sign:

I need a rest.. nice meal at the market, with some kid pretending to rule the world:

And catching up with best friend. Maya is Special Merchant and I'm blessed to have her trust.

I received a call  to earn trust from at least 3 locals, so I can pursue the magic axe. Having Maya by my side, that wasn't too hard. And then I saw him again. First time I thought he was my prize - he looked like a prize anyway. Now he looked even better.

I think I earned his trust. And I can't get him out of my mind.

China, second trip, part II

Liang is a Sweet! I never dreamed I'll be so in love with a stranger, except he is not really a stranger. That gorgeous man took my heart in one single night. And he did it so easily, and fast that my head is spinning around! I wish that every moment we shared that night lasts forever, sometimes it seemed like it did! Us being together, close to each other, it was just right. I was never so certain about something as I am about having him next to me.

But as sun goes up, I had to focus on my goal. Glowing from new-found-love, I headed up in the clouds, in the Temple of Heaven. I kind of already been there last night, at least I felt like it. Ah that love - I need to focus!

This place is fantastic! I'll have to bring Liang here!

No, look at the time, I can only get to say temporary Goodby. Axe will have to wait, I find something more magical in this trip. See you soon sweety, I already miss you.

Back home.. is it me or even my home looks pretty? Or at least less ugly? It must be the magic of love..

This is a great story, Anushka.  Unique and well written.  Your touches of humor are fantastic.  If you're keeping detailed notes on all of these tombs, Carl may be interested in publishing the information on the Guide.  I think he has a list of tomb names, but not all of the solutions.

Good job!  Keep it up!  :)
