Unmentioned money cheat

OK, there appears to be one big money cheat that is left unmentioned in Carl's guide:

Instead of writing kaching or motherlode over and over again, bring up the cheat console and type in "familyfunds [household name] [amount]" (type the household name just as it appears in game). This works differently in the way that the amount you type in is what you will have in money after the cheat, i.e. you can give yourself less money if you wish. But this goes quicker than kaching/motherlode and can also be used to set the household funds for other, uncontrolled families as well as your own! I can confirm it works! Enjoy!

PS. You must have "testingcheatsenabled true" activated

familyfunds Smith 1000000

This would give the Smith family 1 million Simoleons.

Another minor note to add is that the cheat is not case-sensitive for the household name as far as I can remember. So the name of the family does not have to be capitalized in the cheat box, even if it is capitalized in the game.

Hey, dunno if it says this somewhere, but if you already have lots of money, (from owning all businesses) you can change a large empty lot into a commercial lot and in build mode place another science technology building, which you can then become a parter to or buy outright, so for every time you add another building, you add another §15000 every week to your deeds collection. This means the limit of weekly earning is no longer §68,800 but thousands MOREEE!!!! . (moveObjects on allows you to place more than one science building(or any buyable lot) on one single lot which adds to your income)) This method isn't really cheating either, so you can have a clear conscience while you get super rich.

You have to be in Edit Town mode to change the lot type and to place the new building.

Or if you mean the OP cheat, you could be anywhere as long as the target household is in the neighbourhood.

No kidding! On one of my families, I wanted them to have an amazing house, but I didn't want to have a lot of money afterwards. So, I use the familyfunds cheat and give them 1,000,000 dollars, build their house, then use family funds again and give them 10,000 dollars, and make them work to pay the bills.
