Create A Pet Tool video
« on: September 23, 2011, 09:37:07 AM »
Hi guys,

I've made a video recording my screen while I was trying out the CAP tool for the one of you who have serious problems with this program. It's a long video, 48 minutes or so, so you have to skip the pieces you find boring. It's mostly me showing all the pet species that are out there and because it is in HD you can read the descriptions of the traits as well.

So here you are, you can click here, or here to go directly to the video.

And oh yeah, because it was in HD and I'm having not enough hard disk space available, my computer said 'no' to editing, so I had no choice but to upload the whole thing. So feel free to skip minutes of the boring wordiness.

Have fun!

Leto, Thanks so much for making this video. It's really a gift to those of us who have trouble with the demo.

Thanks for taking the time to post the video. After reading about the problems some people were having I decided to be safe and not to install it. This was the next best thing. :)

I know. Thanks. :) That was just the reason why I've uploaded it. No-one did it before me I saw on YouTube, while the program was out there though, for a couple of hours back already.

Yeah, me too. But I understand that not all of us agreed with that. All those fur and other aspects that pump up your processor power are really bad things for rendering. Unless you've got the ability to invest in a pretty expansive computer.
Not all of us have the money for that.

I agree, I probably won't make those fluffly cats and dogs, I'll stick with low cuts. But am still happy, they look cute and that schnauzer! My favorite dogs!

It look great! And for the graphics I will just use the breeds as they are, did it in sims2. I'm too lazy to add all tose fur and fluff :P

Well, I have a very good computer so I probably will be the last one who will find lag in gameplay (exeption is the very detailed millionairs mansion of mine) but I know this kind of fur can trigre those problems.

@VampirePlasma: I knew you where looking for specific animals to see in this demo, party therefore I just decided to show them all. :)

I didn't consider that the fur might be hard for some computers. I'm not sure how my computer will go - it's pretty good, but not the absolute best. I'll wait until I can try with the full game though - I don't want to risk the glitches that come with the demo.

Great job, Leto!  That's a fantastic video.  I'm probably not going to download the demo, so I appreciate that you took the time to record it.  I love the cats!  Their meow is so cute!

Thanks! have you found any of your cat breeds in the list? I saw Main Coon, and that one does indeed like a bit like our Main Coons at home.
