Why do my pets look weird? I'd show you my pets, but they all look weird, and morphed. I have no mods, and I copied all my CC (which is patterns and store content anyways), and they look morphed.

Create A Pet Demo deletes Store items?

You probably have noticed that your store items are gone after you've installed Create A Pet?
No problem. Alright, maybe slightly a little problem but all you need to do is going manually to your Download folder and select all your items and install them again. That will bring you to the main screen of The Sims 3 and the items will be installed once again.
That way you will have them back.

Windows (C): Users - (user name) - My Documents - Electronic Arts - The Sims 3 - Downloads
Mac: Users > username > Documents > Electronic Arts > Downloads

Bad Graphics card. They made the furs and hairs very realistic so it needs a good graphic card.

Does anyone care to show me and Shih Tzu? And a Maltese? my dog is conbination of both, but she looks more like a Maltese.

Sorry, I can't.  The demo nuked all my store content and the only way I could reinstall it was to uninstall the demo.

All this talk about factory rest and stuff is scaring me. My simming laptop is actually my Mother's own laptop so I can't do factory reset for fear of losing her own things, so no Create-A-Pet for me, I guess. Ah well, I reckon I'll wait for the real thing anyways, just to be on the safe side. :)

Factory reset won't mess up anything on your mother's computer. All you do is rename your Sims 3 folder to something else, like The Sims 3.1, and then when you start the game, it will create a new folder for you. There will be no saves or store content, though.

I'm going to merge all these posts about the problems with Create-A-Pet into the CAP thread that Leto started.  All of this needs to be together in one place for folks to see the problems before they decide to download.

@Pam, wouldn't it be best to rename the thread something more general, like "Create-A-Pet Demo" ?
