Yeah, I couldn't give up my legacy. :-\

It won't delete your Legacy at all. It will just be in your Sims 3.1 folder. You can go in and copy your legacy save and put it into the new Sims 3 saves folder. Then you'll be able to play after you download any store and/or custom content. Factory reset doesn't actually reset anything. I know this is getting off topic, but I'm just showing that this CAP isn't really a game breaker. There's an easy way to fix your game if CAP won't let you play.

@Pam, wouldn't it be best to rename the thread something more general, like "Create-A-Pet Demo" ?

I did.  It's now called Create-A-Pet Demo and Problems.

Pam, isn't it more convient to have one thread where people can show their pet creations and another thread where they can discuss their problems, which was my original design? Perhaps a second thread for this whole new expansion would now be the time for to make.
But that's a Administrator task to do. ;)

Bad Graphics card. They made the furs and hairs very realistic so it needs a good graphic card.

Does anyone care to show me and Shih Tzu? And a Maltese? my dog is conbination of both, but she looks more like a Maltese.

I just send you a pm with the link to my shih-tzu I created on the exchange. Jojo has a very short summer cut so no long hair. Also there is one for my sweet Muffin, RIP

In addition to the issues and problems some folks seem to be having (sorry to hear about them), I'm sure Pets will spawn a new crop of abbreviations and acronyms.  Since I do not have the demo and probably won't be getting it or the actual EP, would you please do me a favor?  When/if you come across any new terms you'd like to see added to our list, just make a post on this thread ---> Acronyms Thread.

Thanks!

My thinking is that it's all about Create-A-Pet, both the good and the bad.  Pets hasn't been released yet, so we don't have an official board to put Pets topics on.  We normally keep topics as condensed as possible pre-release.  However, I've already sent a PM to Carl asking if he wants to open the Pets board early because we're getting so many topics.

Smart move.
And if he opens it, can you than split this topic again? I don't know how the others think of this but I find it rather confusing sometimes.

kylady000, I'm sorry you had the same problem. On page one of this thread, there's a link to the official forum, where you can find some information about how to get your game back. Apparently there's one particular file in the DCCache file that can be deleted. If you're reluctant to do that, you can do what I did -- pull your saved games file and your download file out of The Sims 3 file; rename The Sims 3 file by adding .old or .1; then launch your game. Quit, go back and put your saved games and downloads in the new The Sims 3 file.

Ohh, I see! I was a little confused there, hehe. Thanks, MoonsAreBlue. :)
