I have 3 families. I used the same guy in each family, but different women. The kids are always girls and take after their father. How come?

When you have the couple "Try For Baby", have mom eat 3 apples afterward if you hear the little "baby" song that plays when they conceive.  3 apples for boys, 3 watermelons for girls.

It's probably just by random chance. Are these women living in your household? If not, then you have no control over the gender of the baby, and the looks are again, probably just random chance.

One of my families has 6 kids. All the kids are girls. I don't have them eat any fruit during the time. My sims, who is a master surgen, Always says they are girls.

FINALLY!! My Sim is having a boy child. We have a family of 12 people. 10 women, and 2 guys. The son and father. It very hard to take care of them, but 5 girls are moving out.

How do you have 12 Sims in the same household?  The limit is 8.

Not in the same household. I'm talking in general. A couple of the babies were given to child services.

Well, this doesn't have to be followed to the extent of what you said. What I mean is, you can have the doctor determine the gender, but still eat the opposite fruit and you still might get the gender you want.

I think I read in the guide that once the woman is pregnant, the gender of the baby is set.

Actually, what the Guide says is that once the mother is visibly pregnant, the gender is set.  Visibly pregnant is about 24 hours after trying for a baby when she changes into her maternity clothes.  Up until that point, the gender can be changed.  Carl did experiments where a doctor determined the gender of the baby before the maternity clothes and had the mother eat the opposite fruit.  The gender had changed when the baby was born.

Personally, I've had a lot of luck with eating the gender fruit even after the pregnancy is visible.  It's rare that I get a boy if the mother has been eating watermelon.

Yeah. I moved the dad out of the house into a bigger one. I'm playing the dad still. It was hard taking care of that many kids. I couldn't do it.
