Adventuring Traits
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:50:54 PM »
What are some good traits to assign Sims if you want to send them adventuring? Some I've thought of:

Adventurous (of course)!
Brave
Daredevil

Since I'm dealing with mainly YA's/adults, I'd like a few more suggestions...

Thanks!

I like to pick insane, they can keep their social bar up by talking to themselves.  That is helpful if you don't use cheats and if they are by themselves.  But it has been awhile since I have adventured and the only trait I can think of that I used.  :)

Charismatic is also good, as some of the opportunities in foreign lands require you to befriend locals to talk to them about things in the adventure chain.

Along the same lines, friendly is a good choice.

Yes, and talking to themselves also raises their fun need, which makes insane sims the easiest ones to keep happy when they're adventuring.

Thought about hidden traits already? Immune to Fire would be awesome. No more firetraps that will burn you down.

No Disrespect meant here, but wouldn't that be usless? I read on the guide that firetraps can't kill? only way to die while adventuring is mummy's curse?

I once did play with a sim with the imuun to fire hidden trait. In tombs a firetrap will burn him like a normal sim but he get that warm fuzzy moodlet and like the heat. I hope I remember it right it is a while ago

Try Disciplined, and work on Martial Arts -- ability to Zeneport, ability to defeat mummies, and you build up athletic skill while working.

It would kinda depend on whether they are starting with a new sim for the adventurer or breeding them to have hidden traits. Oh wait, can they get the immune to fire by being a fireman?

Yes. There is no need to breed. Unless you want to have both fireman traits all in one.

- Adventurous
- Disciplined
- Loner (gets a nice mood boost + longer without being lonely)
- Brave

I usually use those four and I choose one more but I forgot which one.

Will lucky get them a better chance at slipping past traps?
