The piranha lives in the wall-mounted aquarium opposite the bar. I just zoomed riiiight in and fiddled with the camera until I got the right shot.

Hannah lives in Twinbrook.  Even if I didn't recognize the town (which I didn't at first), you can spot Amy Bull's loud and obnoxious outfit from deep orbit.  I'm guessing that's how the meteor aimed itself. 

It would seem that the giant flying space piranha rode the meteor in.  Commuting is good for the environment.  But is it good for sims?  In this case, not so much.

Excellent theory Hosfac! I'm forced to agree that these suspicious events aren't unrelated at all. Obviously Amy Bull is an alien in league with the Giant Flying Space Piranhas, sent to mark out areas of especially dense population for destruction (hence why she turned up at the crowded vaccination clinic). She also has a colleague acting as an additional marker. See how this "tourist" mimics Bull's movements and dress style!




Twinbrook is in grave danger! The suspiciously frequent meteor showers and overly-sized carnivorous fish are just the first step in eradicating opposition to the master plan! In less than fifty years, this lush swamp will be a barren desert, a strange town overrun with mad scientists and alien pollination technicians! It all makes sense!

Tourist my eye.  She's obviously an alien pollination technician, just like Amy Bull.  No human being of even marginal taste in clothing would dress like that.

I find it funny how everyone looks up and points, but nobody runs for cover.  They clearly see it coming.  All I know is if I see something headed my way from the sky, traveling at over 200km/h, I'm going to step of the way.

Tell me about it. One of my games, Cornelia Goth was over, saw the meteor and I had long gotten my sims out of the way, but she just stood and pointed, caught on fire and was dead before I could get my sim back over to put her out.  I was screaming "Run!!" She didn't listen. *sigh*

Got that right  . I was hoping at least someone would get the Strangetown reference. The scary thing though is that in Stangetown (set 50 years after Twinbrook, remember), the only Twinbrook townies to be found there are the Curious/Wheloff descendants, and they all seem pretty pally with the aliens (married to aliens, fathered by aliens, pregnant with alien spawn etc). What did the aliens do to the rest of the town? 

And yeah, this whole theory is now gospel truth to me. The next person who asks about what happened between Sims 3 and Sims 2 will be educated about the Giant Flying Space Piranhas.

This just cracked me up!  EA should remake Strangetown, it was my favorite (and still is!)

I thought about putting this in the technical section, but actually it was just more weird and the simple fix is to use "resetsim" and it was fine, but when I started my dynasty and this happened and it never had before, I just thought it was plain funny, lol.

Awesome pics Salty! I never played Sims 1 or 2 so I didn't get it. Oh well, hopefully if Sims 4 comes out, they will put something of 3 in it so I'll get the jokes!!
