I just saw this sim who got a really glitchy hairstyle, it kind of looks like her hair is growing out of her ears.

Simstar, that might be why you are having problems with your computer.  Both you and Ormonster have custom content somewhere in your files.  That is the main cause for your Sims morphing like this when aging.  You may not even know the content is there as it may have been attached to something else you downloaded from the exchange. 
Nilla, this could be your hair glitch also.  Looks like you three have some cleaning up to do

I have the same problem with the sims when they age up but it only lasts for a second. And the only not-store content I've downloaded is a dolphin tile and a couple a houses. But the glitch is such a minor detail, I don't mind it really.

I figured out what it was: I had forgotten to delete the cache files in the sim 3 folder after installing Late Night, it became normal hair after doing that
