Right, this is 'something new' for me:
I never knew there was an actual Sims Film Festival! Right, at first I was proper skeptical and I thought I'd be bursting out laughing for most of it, because I reckoned it was sad and a big waste of time, then I watched the entry that won..
I can't link to the winner here, and in fact most of the films in the contest, because it has a lot of violence and other stuff that isn't family friendly, but I've got to say - It blew my mind. My favourite entry, though, was the 2nd place winner of Best Trailer and the joint 1st place winner in the Machinima Masters category - a fim called Neon, which I
really can't link to, but it is awesome and it totally should have won. The winner is an hour long and Neon altogether is about 45 minutes, but the other entries are all about ten minutes or so and of course there are the short films, which are about five, and the music videos. I won't link to the Playbill for obvious reasons, but if anyone's interested - Just google Sims International Film Festival and look for the Simatography website and you'll get it.
So yea, just something new. I spent five hours this morning watching all the entries, something is really wrong with me.
I really recommend Neon. Some of the entries are tedious, and the attempts at trying to lip sync the sims to someone's voice in some of the entries just make you laugh.
But I did enjoy it, so if anyone's feeling bored someday, do have a look.
