My CAS sim Romany married Leighton Sekemoto, and Hank Goddard gave them that huge fighter jet statue for a wedding present. It sold for 75,000 and promptly completed Romany's LTW of Living in The Lap of Luxury - three sims days in. I didn't know whether to be pleased or annoyed!

When playing my Philips self employment project my poor Sims didn't get any wedding presents and neither of the two children got an IF in the mail. I guess when your a poor CAS and homeless townie you don't get the perks in life.

When I played my Wishmasters, my two sims started out as boyfriends and got married about halfway through, right before they had kids but after the one working spouse had climbed the music career ladder and so had made friends with a lot of very ritzy celebrities.  I don't think there was a single gift under 10k simoleons, and they got at least five, including a car and a hot tub.  I'm not sure if celebrity level of the giver has anything to do with the cost of the gift, but hey, it's worth it, especially if all you need to do is "chat with co-workers" for a little bit every day while working.   I loved that my sims were getting wedding presents, but none of the givers had been invited to the wedding.   

As for IFs, none of the six children in that challenge got one, but on my first attempt (which got fried by lightning) both of the children I'd had when I had to stop received them.

I just noticed this, which I haven't noticed before - A Sim ate a Peanut-butter and Jelly sandwich and left the crust.




I also noticed on this Gnome he has Black NailPolish and Pierced ears and lip.

I too had not realised about the PB and J sandwhich! I wonder if a trait like Childish or Family-Orientated forces that

I know the Sim does not have childish behavior but I cannot remember if she is Family-Orientated, I will have to check that out when I start up the game.
edit:  She does have the Family-Orientated trait.

Oh so gnomes get to have piercing and nail polish and different colored highlights but Sims don't! I see how it is!

I've never had a teen gnome in my game before, or a baby gnome or a elder gnome.

The pierced gnome above was a baby gnome that was in a diaper, very cute, then he aged up to the pierced one above.  His dad Gnome, aged up, had a long white beard and had a cane, he just died and now there is a Gnome gravestone.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that happens any time a Sim eats a PB&J sandwich.  It's the graphic to show that the meal is finished and the plate is dirty (not that you ever see clean plates).

Thanks to the new patch, my sims will have to move house.
They can no longer sit in their chairs properly.

I heard in the official site that the new patch messed up CC items. Not sure.
