It's a bush. It's not a specific kind, its pretty much just a synonym.

A shrub is another word for a bush.

Monty Python is a comedic movie comprised largely of random nonsense.  (It's still funny, though!)  Shrubbery (or shrubs) have an odd importance for certain characters in the movie.  To understand further, I'd recommend watching it.  It's not the sort of thing that's easy to explain.
