So my fifth generation bought an empty house as private property, for use as his evil lair. It's been empty for almost the entire game; I think the last person to live there was its original inhabitant, who died two weeks into the game (or thereabouts). I'm on week 31. And when I entered buy mode to do renovations, I noticed those burnt pancakes on the stove.
Now this is where the story comes in.
A long time ago in my dynasty, my founder was fishing for angelfish at the same house. After she was done fishing, she was invited into the house and started cooking pancakes. She was also pregnant at the time and went into labor in the middle of making pancakes. So I left the pancakes on the stove (didn't really have another choice) and hoped that she didn't start a fire. I got the notice some days later that the owner of the house died of old age, so I assumed that meant that the pancakes were taken care of and didn't turn the house into an inferno.
I guess they didn't, but those pancakes have been sitting there for over 28 weeks! I almost want to keep them. They're a relic of a bygone era.
And one weird pic from another bygone era:
She wanted to shake Grim's hand, but missed the mark! It also messed up an otherwise really sad moment.
And one from today:
I have a strange feeling that the wrong sim asked for medical help...
