Oh no!  That's an imaginary friend?!  (I haven't seen one yet in my game.)  You have to watch the movie The Orphanage!  It's a Spanish-language movie, so you'll have to read the subtitles, but it's really good.  It also has a character, a really creepy character called Tomás, who looks like that imaginary friend.  Let me see if I can find a picture.

Uh, okay.  I looked for one and found many, but they creep me out way too much to post here.  I guess you can Google it if you'd like.  What a disturbing discovery!

Here's my contribution for today: how's this for a first date?

I hope dinner's the way you like it, George.  I was a little unsure about it, what with the super cheap stove I've got.

You know that it will either be a stupendously fantastic date or a horrible disaster of a date when an asteroid comes crashing at you when gazing at the stars. My teen sim noticed that one star getting larger and larger. She had the good sense to grab her date and leg it out of the area.

She got caught by the police for violating her curfew when she tried to collect the space rocks at the crash site.

The joys of a new legacy, I see! I remember many a breakfast on the toilet.  ;D

Oh, yes!  Brand-spanking new today.  I've spent the last seven hours or so in my chair playing.  I'm thrilled; I never get to do that.  What's funny is that I've neglected so far to even begin work on the house, but that's a really expensive pharoah head in the background.  She wished for it, and her wish is my desire.   8)

What's funnier still?  She doesn't actually own a stove.   :D

I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this before but if you use cheats and shift click on Grim and click trigger age transition he will actually age up! Here's what he looks like.

Before they patched it, you could have a baby with Grim, and the baby would be pure black skin, like Grimmy himself. I wish I had taken the opportunity, because it's the only way to have a pure black sim. I wanted to make 16 pure black sims and 16 pure white ones, and then make two separate families, called Black and White, respectively. I was going to play chess with them.

Ever since installing Generations, my graphics have been on the fritz.  Usually the Sims will adjust in a few seconds.  But this one never loaded properly.

Ignorance is not an excuse, please read the forum rules.

I think there actually still is a way to make sims black. If you use and CC skin and use it on any sims you'd want to have really black skin, then delete than certain skin from your download list they would turn out just like Grim looks like.  :)

Ug, I get that graphics glitch sometimes. It's kind of annoying.

Naga, I downloaded a Grim Reaper from the exchange a while ago and used him to make a couple of charcoal-skinned Sims in CAS, like Tinsel here:

The black skin seems to be a placeholder for when the normal skintone can't be found. Here's an old thread about it. :)

Ugh, I hate those boxy graphics.  I wish I could say mine only lasted a couple of seconds.  More like 10-20 seconds for everything to fill in the way it should.  It's especially bad when I go back to the regular mode from map mode, so I do my best to avoid it when I can.  One of these days I'll get myself a machine that won't do that, but until then, I've just gotta be patient with it.

I believe it depends on the computer and graphics card whether the TS1-style Sims load into TS3 ones faster or slower. Mine usually load after the building and items have turned into normal colors (from the default gray) and after anything else has properly loaded. I have not seen it happen in Bridgeport, yet. Though Sunset Valley and Barnacle Bay are the towns with most graphic issues in my list. :-\
