Kattiq-That happens all the time to me, but normally on the sim's head or arm! i don't see why the bowl would need to be around that area, but ah well.

I just started a new game in Naga's Sunset Valley 2.1, and got the ancient burial ground challenge.  Not really weird on it's own, but it had a ghost type that I've never seen before:



Was that poor, unfortunate sim on the left killed by a meteor?  I've never had a meteor strike in my game, so I've never seen one.

Yep, that's a meteor ghost. I know what you mean about not getting any meteor showers, I only just recently got one myself. Followed twenty minutes later by a second one. To the same Sim. I think poor Hannah is traumatised...

Either that, or she thinks she's the star in the remake of the movie "Armageddon." 

I did have a huge meteor fall in one of my games (I got a message that one had landed and that I should hurry and collect it), but it hit out in the middle of nowhere and there wasn't anything or anyone around it, so I don't think it was the same type of event.

No, that's an event you get while Stagazing with the telescope. You can get large or gigantic meteors from it. Still very cool.

Now that I've mentioned Hannah's meteor strikes I better post some pics, eh? The first one snuck up on me as she was leaving the Science Lab so I didn't get any screenshots, but the second one happened as she was finishing a vaccination clinic at the park. There were loads of people around for that, so I had charred townies running around for weeks. The funny thing was that none of the Sims became Singed straight away, they just all stood on one leg, cringing, until their clothes burnt off one by one. It was kind of funny.

The meteor itself was collected by Hannah later in the day and is now proudly displayed in her living room. She got a wish for a tattoo, so I sent her to get one of a moon to commemorate the event.



On an unrelated note, local mixologist Tim Burre was tragically devoured by GIANT FLYING SPACE PIRANHAS.

Very cool indeed, especially for a sim just starting out (which the first one was).  Those big rocks are worth a great deal. 

Hannah lives in Twinbrook.  Even if I didn't recognize the town (which I didn't at first), you can spot Amy Bull's loud and obnoxious outfit from deep orbit.  I'm guessing that's how the meteor aimed itself. 

It would seem that the giant flying space piranha rode the meteor in.  Commuting is good for the environment.  But is it good for sims?  In this case, not so much.
