Sims apperance changing when putting on martial arts outfit

I hadn't never notice that my sims appearance changes when he puts on his Martial Arts outfit.

The sim I'm playing now has a beard

but when he changes outfits he loses the beard.

I've had mine don glasses with his martial arts outfit.  Also, would you mind changing the subject of this topic?  It's a little vague.  You can just use the Modify button on the first post to change it.  Thanks.

Are you sure you have hairstyles locked for all outfits? Maybe you only have the beard set for everyday and no other.

Did you change his appearance after he got the belt? When skill improves and he get new belt he will have beard

I have noticed that this happens when my sims age up.  They age up with a particular 'look' then I change it via the mirror but as soon as they change into there martial arts outfit they look the same as they did when they aged up (including facial hair, hair, glasses, etc).  I haven't found a way to fix it, but it only happens with the martial arts outfit so it doesn't really bother me too much.

It may be where he aged up then. When he turned elder he lost the beard and after I had him retire and drink a Young Again Potion and I had to edit him and put the beard back. But I'm not sure if it was happening before that or not.

Are you sure you have hairstyles locked for all outfits? Maybe you only have the beard set for everyday and no other.

His hair style is locked for all outfits. But unlike the hair styles you can't change facial hair for each outfit anyway.

I've noticed this too.  It usually happens when you change their appearance.

The only fix I've found for this is to use the makeover cheat while they're in their martial arts oufit; then you can edit their accessories/hair/etc.

. . . .I admit to being dense and not checking to see if the same principle works if you send them to the mirror/dresser in their Martial Arts outfit.  I was just annoyed that my sim's hair suddenly grew about a foot; and wanted it fixed right then.

I had this happen in my Dynasty. After my Martial Arts Sim aged into an Elder, her hair style and colour changed to her default "look I aged up!" hair whenever she spun into her MA outfit. I'm fairly certain I corrected it by having her "Change Appearance" at a mirror while wearing her MA outfit (Dynasty file so I couldn't cheat).

Ok, so I just noticed this today when I was playing my Max Skills turned female. I wanted her to break boards so she changed into her martial arts outfit, but instead she turned into the male Max Skills, I found this really creepy since there voices stay the same.

I did fix the beard by changing his appearance in the mirror.

Yeah, I did. I play better with female sims so when I downloaded Max Skills I edited him in CAS.
