plant, tree or bush fruits spawn right after 5AM - 5:30 AM everyday
I don`t know if you guys know or not.. about Omni plants, If you feed them even 1 second before 5AM (or it`s time to spawn fruits) right after 5 AM it will give the fruits... so i feed them 1 hour before 5AM so i can make feeding them all...
then harvest  them back after feeding :P

it`s good when you miss the day ...

also you can order omni plants from other house`s post boxes even empty flats :P at first i loved it ! but then realized i can`t withdraw them :-\
actually i tried ordering from 10 houses... then.. bummmmmmmmer :P

We actually know the magic time when your seeds suddenly magically transform into sprouts.
Which is why most of my gardening sims focus on waking around that time to weed the plants.

The 5am thing applies to all plantable stuff.
Thats when the game decides to age up all the plants by 1 day.
The game checks for conditions at around 5am in game.
Did you water the plant? Did you weed the plant? How strong is the fertiliser?
And in the case of plain Omni plants, what was fed to it?
That kind of things.
I once had a sim to harvest apples from apple trees but the garden was large so he couldnt harvest all of them by 5.
However after 5, the apple trees which have been harvested earlier on, grew another batch of apples.

i meant if you feed the Omni trees before a 5AM even 1 seconds before it... it will give back the fruit right after the 5AM is passed... meaning it doesn`t need fixed time for the fruit or stuff grow on omni`s

Yeah this is why the auto sprinklers go off at 4am. They can catch any new plants in their vicinity and get them watered for the 5am rollover.

Very nice. But very frustrating if you miss the deadline because your sim has to stop and complain about something or cry over dead plants. ::)

The plant won't die, of course. :p  You'll just miss a day's produce.
which means:
So now I gathered 54 omni and grew them.  Now if I miss a day's produce... (each plant gives mostly 4 books) I'm feeding the omnis with Fishing for the Dead book... each book is $1350 and each plant gives 3 books profit, so each plant gives $4050.
And now 54 plants = 54 x 4050 = 218,700 ... hmmmm it's worth crying tho.  Lol.

Where did you find Omni?

You don't find it anywhere. An Omni seed is the final reward in the Gardening series of Opportunities you get from the restaurant:

Uncommonly Good > Outstandingly Rare > The Omnificient Plant

And do you know where to find Life Fruit? ( I want to make ambrosia)

Look on the ground around the Science Center and the Grave Yard for seeds. Those are 2 areas that often have Special Seeds. You need to have gardening lvl 7 to plant these, but there's a chance that one of them will be a Life Plant and bear Life Fruit.

You'll also need Deathfish for Ambrosia.  There's a lot of information in the main guide that will help you through all of these questions about how to do various things.  Here's the link to the home page and from there you can find just about anything.

Greetings community, remarks about omni plant- why would you ever feed it fruit? The only thing I feed mine is a $5000 deathfish- 3x5k a plant = 15k a plant.  I have 16 omni plants.  I basically own everything in town that's buyable.  Now I'm bored and am ready for Sims 3 Adventures.  Lol.

Welcome to the forum, bcollins!

I've fed my Omni Life Fruit when I didn't have enough Life Plants to produce enough fruit to keep the garden fertilized.

We've got some really nice challenges here if you're bored.  Maybe give one a try.

My Omni plants are broken!!  At first I thought it was a vacation home problem, but I have a full Omni garden in my Sunset Valley home and they don't appear to be working correctly.  My Omnis duplicate perfect death fish and the fishing books correctly, but any type of perfect fruit (life, pomegranate, eggs) seems to come out reduced in quality to very nice or great!  Grapes seemed to duplicate as perfect fruits, however.  Does anyone know why this is happening??

Check the quality of the Omni Plant itself.  If it's a poor quality plant, it might be producing poor quality fruit and vegetables.
