Pirates and Nobles - Treasure Hunting

Well, like I had posted yesterday, with the expansion pack, you can now Treasure Hunt!

I'm going to post a short little guide to where each treasure map sends you!

Things to Be Aware of:

Digging in an incorrect area will lead to a chance that the pit beast can grab you. If it does, you will be brought to the pit where you must fight the creature. If you lose, you die and lose the QP you used to start the quest you were doing and you will have to do the quest over again.

Items you need to buy from the village:

Shovel
Map

Items you might want to buy:

Parrot - You can send the parrot to go treasure hunting. Once you do you can once again move around and do other things. You can receive money, or map pieces from the parrot using the treasure hunt feature. (You may get other things, but all I've gotten thus far are these things. Will update as I get more.)

Lets Start!

Map 1

Title
"My First Treasure Map: An Amatuers Guide to Treasure Hunting"

Info
"The map appears to lead to an area with a lot of trees."

Where to Dig:
In the forest.

Map 2

Title
 "Silver Eye Treasure Map"

Info
"This map contains a riddle. It reads:

It is clear when calm, white when full,
and all colors when raging. My treasure
is burried at the top."

Where to Dig:
The land on top of the waterfall

Map 3

Title
"Complex Treasure Map" (bought from the Village Shop)

Where to dig:
The lighthouse on the beach

Map 4
Title
"Extravagant Treasure Map"

Info
"There is a single gnarled tree alone on the map."

Where to dig:
Near the tree that is between the two churches.

Map 5
Title
"Dragon Marked Treasure Map"

Info
"The map states the dragon was rumoured to live under an ancient tower."

Where to dig:
In the area where the ruins are around the pit.

Map 6
Title
"Ancient Map"

Info
"While hard to make out, it appears the map shows a giant cliff overlooking a body of water."

Where to dig:
Behind the clinic

Map 7
Title
"Map of the Watcher"

Info
"The map has a note on it saying it indicates where the holiest ground in the area can be found."

Where to dig:
Between the Peteran and Jacoban churches.

Note: In order to get mysterial mortar you need 2 Ancient Powder and Well Water. Just click on the well water when you have the powder.

Pieces Parrot can return with, how many it takes to assemble the map, and what map it makes:
  • Marked Map Piece(3) - Dragon Marked Treasure Map
  • Old Map Piece(2) - Silver Eye Treasure Map
  • Shard of Map Tablet(5+1 mysterial mortar) -  Ancient Map
  • Extravagant Map Piece(2) - Extravagant Map

List of things the Parrot can Treasure Hunt for:

  • Map Pieces
  • Map Shards
  • Money
  • Quartz
  • Gems
  • Azurite
  • Raptonium
  • Grapes
  • Apple
  • Onion
  • Jeweled Ring
  • Ivory Paddle

I figure if we can get the info all built in right here, then it will be easier for Carl and Pam to update the Sims Medieval guide. :-D Yes Carl, you may use this info. May I get some credit for compiling it?

I found the treasure from "My First Treasure Map: An Amatuers Guide to Treasure Hunting" in the clearing before the forest, where travellers and foreign dignitaries camp.

Where exactly did you dig? Because I can't find it.

I found the treasure on the edge of the forest in the middle near the flowers. I hope that helps.

I found the treasure there too. After digging in the wrong spot a few times my monarch went to the right spot without me telling her to dig there.

Ok this is how it works!

Read the map first! Get the clue where to start.

The dragon map was at the judgement pit and the I am clear map was near the top of the waterfall!

Once you are there read the map again and the sim will tell you if you are close or not. The more advanced the treasure map is the more looks you need to take! Eg: First map is one look near the forest entrance and the sim will find it alone!

I noticed that some sims are more used to treasure finding. My monarch found the treasures just by reading the map once in the right location. He than walked right to the spot and started digging by himself.

My bard however needs exact location and then i need to tell him to dig.

What I don't get is how the bones and the tablet things work. It says I need a Mortar or something and I don't know where to get that.

Oh and the parrot can also find weapons of different qualities. For me it only found swords from pirates and nobles so i think maybe the standard ones are not in the "find" list. Also the parrot can find shovels of all qualities.

What I found annoying was the fact that the parrot disrupts some activities like blacksmithing. The bard isn't distracted but the smith is.

After hours of searching, I finally found the 3 treasures from these following maps. How to dig: go to the right location, click on the map, choose "Search for treasure" then the sim would find the treasure on its own.

Map 1

Title
"My First Treasure Map: An Amatuers Guide to Treasure Hunting"

Info
"The map appears to lead to an area with a lot of trees."

Where to Dig:
the Forest

Map 2

Title
 "Silver Eye Treasure Map"

Info
"This map contains a riddle. It reads:

It is clear when calm, white when full,
and all colors when raging. My treasure
is burried at the top."

Where to Dig:
the land on top of the waterfall

Map 3

Tittle
"Complex Treasure Map" (bought from the Village Shop)

Where to dig:
the lighthouse on the beach

I dont know why but the sim searches not always alone. Sometimes he only gives clues where to go next.

Was this map part of a quest?  I've tried to find it in the store using several sims on different quests, but to no avail.  I tried with both a brand new treasure hunter and with the treasure hunter that had found the treasures from the extravagant, old, marked, holy, and ancient maps.

After a few hours of playing, I managed to find and complete 4  maps. I found it easier if I played 2 heroes at a time, one left to treasure hunt on his/her own.

Map 1
Title
"Extravagant Treasure Map"

Info
"There is a single gnarled tree alone on the map."

Where to dig:
Near the tree that is between the two churches.

Map 2
Title
"Dragon Marked Treasure Map"

Info
"The map states the dragon was rumoured to live under an ancient tower."

Where to dig:
In the area where the ruins are around the pit.

Map 3
Title
"Ancient Map"

Info
"While hard to make out, it appears the map shows a giant cliff overlooking a body of water."

Where to dig:
Behind the clinic

Map 4
