How do I create a boyfriend and move him into home

I am new to Sims3 and have been reading the forums :-) I have a question. Is there any way to create a boyfriend (in create a sim) and then have him move in with my main sim game?
If there is I just can't figure it out. Any help would be great!

Welcome to the forum!
Yes. Go to edit town in that town. There should be something like create sims. Make the guy you want.
Move him in somewhere in town. Interact with him to make him your sims boyfriend. Ask him to move in.

You can go to edit town create a sim you like, and just move him in with your sim he also bring 16,000 simileons

When you go into Edit Town there is a button which looks like the Symbol for CAS, it's a big square with the outline of Sims on it, that takes you to CAS, make your Sim, click the tick, then he will appear in what we call The Library, which stores all your Households, click on him then go to the House where your Sim lives, click on the tab and an option to merge the households together should appear, click accept. Then return to game and the Boyfriend should be there.

Thanks! I am going to try it today. Her husband is cheating on her so she needs to find a new boyfriend.
