Sadly the only SMF Mod which Carl can use that does what we need doesn't actually seem to do the slideshow option using arrow keys, or at least Carl and I can't work it out.

Are you sure? I tried your slideshow and could use my left and right arrow keys to navigate, plus I could click and drag the images around.

I know it works now, I just haven't edited that. Carl and I think that it just doesn't work in Previews which was where it was tested rather than actually being posted. So that's why we thought it didn't work.

Sorry but no there won't be. Due to personal reasons Lilygirl has not been able to get as much free-time as she needs to create the June Contest and so will be using what time she can to plan the July Contests. I would have created a Contest however I've realised finally what the date is and what that means - GCSE History Exam on Nazi Germany in like 8 Days time and then the week after that my first Geography Exam. So I'm trying to limit stuff to get revision in there. We are planning something interesting soon though to make up for the lack of a June Contest.

If you have the option to do so then you may, I sometimes go through them all after a while and do a mass unlocking.

Due to the Forum now offering a different style option, which can be a Green Theme or a Blue Theme, I am currently in the progress of reorganising and redesigning the contest theme which is currently blue and despite working for my own theme of choice (Blue) it needs to work well for both themes and therefore it is being changed. Hopefully everything will be sorted by the time the next Contest is posted. It may be delayed if it is not completely ready by then, so just letting you know in advance.

We will no longer be running the Long Contests, this is due to lack of participation in the Long Contests. Also both Lilygirl and myself have had really busy personal lives at the moment and don't have the time to run the extra contests - especially if they have a low participation in.

I want to stress that "I'm not good enough" is not an excuse to not enter the Contests. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you look at some people's first entries and then you compare them to the ones they are uploading now then you will definitely see a vast improvement in their building skills. This is just a friendly competition, it's also a way for you to practice your building skills and improve. It's always said but it's the participation and the effort that counts not the winning. So please do just have a go at taking part!

There has been a change in the rules that allows you to build and take screenshots in any of the Official EA Store Worlds. You may not use the Content included in those Worlds however. The change in the rules is due to the fact that entries should not be judged on their surroundings but solely on the entry itself. Please continue to judge entries on what is on the lot and not behind the lot.

• Only FREE Store Items are allowed, the Items must be free during the time that the Contest is running and the poll is open.
  • Registration Rewards are allowed. Any promotional Content is banned, such as the T-Mobile Items or the Dr. Pepper Items.
  • Once a Store World becomes available in Retail Stores it's content may be used may be used. At this moment only Barnacle Bay and Hidden Springs are available in Stores.
  • You may still take screenshots and build in any Store Worlds as long as none of the content from them is used.

Hello guys! Just wondering if we can submit a sort of video slideshow (adhering to all the rules, 10 image max, etc, etc) for the contests. Just to clarify, it would not be an actual video but a collage of images one after the other. Thanks!

You do know that collages count for more than one picture if more than one picture is used.   Also the preferred method of a contest entry is to use the highslide thumbnail method that's available using the [ hs][/ hs] bbcode.

Sorry I should've clarified, I meant a a slideshow of just ten images. No more so it adheres to the rules but allows for another method of entry.

Can I just ask why we aren't allowed to use store items (except the free ones)? Since the forumers do the voting, no one actually needs to download the house to vote or rate it, so I'm a bit confused at the reason for this rule. Please enlighten me
