Annoying problem with Chemistry
« on: August 22, 2011, 09:29:51 PM »
I saved my Sim to the bin and then transferred him to a new town. When I tried to create potions, I found out that I need to discover the potions again. I don't mind that actually. The problem here is that it states that my "Potions discovered" is 100%. When I discover a new potion, it becomes 110%. It also removes my completion of the challenge. How do I fix this?

Welcome to the forum!
When you save them to a bin, sometimes they lose ability to make potions.
I don't know why its 110% though.

The only thing I can think of is to try and reset your sim.

And also what Sportsfan said saving sims to the bin make them lose some proggress.

Thank you.

I understand that it behaves like Charisma. But shouldn't the percentage become 0?

What do you mean by reset? By using the resetsim command? I tried it.

Nope, it didn't work.

I am guessing that they forgot to add a code somewhere to reset that to 0%, that is assuming that the reset of potions discovered is something they had planned and not a bug.

I should have asked this before, but so you have any mods? If so, don't name them, but that's probably the reason.

I don't think mods are the reason, because there's a lot of skill journal problems in the game.

Yes, I do have mods. I'll test if it's the problem with the mods by importing the Sim into a new town with the mods uninstalled.

Edit: I've tested it out. The problem persists even with the mods removed.
