Aw I'm sorry :( I always hate it when another part of the family dies because they helped so much to get their other family members to immortality and what do they get? The Grim :(
I almost cried when I saw a stray dog die because at first the Grim was so mean! But then the grim and the dog hugged and was petted it seemed more bittersweet instead of just plain sad.

I'm sorry Esther! It make me also sad when one of my sims die. I always drag the hungerbar to full when they get to hungry and one time I drag it to the wrong direction and my sim starved! At least its not your fault.

RIP Laurel. When Billy died in my dynasty I had to stop playing for a bit because I couldn't quite face it. I know they're not real, but it's still not very nice.

Thanks Kattiq, loveSims and Ariana.

I agree, she worked so hard for them, and all she gets as a thank you is Grim taking her away. It might sound crazy, but Wyatt was standing there watching her go, and he was crying and the sight of him crying made me cry even harder.

I know technically it's not my fault as in a normal game, sims die of old age, but I still feel responsible. Wyatt has about 40 deathflowers in a chest and alot of Ambrosia in the replicators. I could have done something but because of the rules, I didn't. In other games, when I drag the bars it's deliberate and it doesn't bother me. But them dying of old age makes me cry every time.

I totally understand that. I'm going away tomorrow for a night, and I definitely have no plans of playing them again til at least next week. It's definitely not nice, and everyone who plays know that just because they are "not real" and "just pixels" they are real for us. It's losing someone you're close too because the past few months, she was a big part of my life. Losing Jon was hard but Laurel's the worst so far, probably because she was a mother and a grandmother. She was an awesome sim and I will miss her so much.

I'm sure you guys remember the last update, Paige was 0 days from aging up. Well, she had her birthday but I'm not going to show that right now. I'm writing Laurel's last update right now and just wanted to let you know, you will see Paige the teen in it.

I write this update with a heavy heart. My beloved mom has passed on. I love her so much and miss her already. Let us celebrate the life of Laurel (Grisby) Halliwell.

Here is the last picture of her alive.

During her life she reached level 10 in guitar, had 100 performances, made $526,128 and had 2 out of the 3 challenges complete. She also was level 1 in nectar making. She had reached level 10 in both the painting career and skill. She had painted a total of 296 paintings, out of those 88 were brilliant and 82 was masterpieces. Her most expensive painting sold was $10,298 and was of brilliant quality. She made a total of $787,886 painting. My parents were together for 61 years, and were faithful to one another the entire time. She leaves behind a grief-stricken husband, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, best friend and cats. Now I of all people do not want to see these pictures, but I must post them for the sake of closure.

A slightly humorous thing happened as Grim was trying to take her soul. He was walking forward at the same time she was and they collided.

There is nothing funny about these next pictures though.

Mom is the second grave placed in the cemetery, and although I wish with all my heart she would be the last, I know she won't be. Her cane is lovingly placed on the heart rug.

Than the easel with her last painting was placed in her room, along with her guitar.

Last one right now is of me. I really don't know if I can do this. I hear dad crying in his room, and I know as badly as my heart is breaking right now, his pain is even worse than mine. She was the best mother in the world and facing many lifetimes without her is the worst feeling in the world.

:'( at least you know she had a wonderful, fulfilling life! It's obvious she has left a huge impression upon the Halliwells that'll never be forgotten.

I'm sorry your game took a turn for the sad, RIP Laurell Halliwell, an afterlife filled with perfectly renered pet cuteness awaits!

I hope the lagging remains minimal.  Sending lots of luck to help you get all the way to 8 elders this time! :D

Thanks Juxt. I haven't even opened the game since she died and haven't even posted the update where Paige has her birthday. I have no interest in the Halliwell's right now and I'm so sorry, I don't want to blame Laurel but she definitely didn't help. This time of year has been rough on me ever since my parents died, so I'm really hoping next year I will be ready to get involved with them again. I'll try to write up her birthday one and post it soon. Also, I want to do a holiday pic with them so I guess I need to open it today or tomorrow anyways. The lag is a drag for sure lol. Hopefully the bugs hear you and scatter far away!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I took 2 Christmas pictures, one of them in the living room which I shared on the babble thread (assuming it's ok with the mods) and one of them in the cemetery by the graves of Laurel and Jon. Thought it was only fair that they were included too!

Enjoy Christmas! Also, I had to use a few cheats to get these pics!  ;)
