Help me choose a stuff pack
« on: August 17, 2011, 07:12:45 PM »
I have enough money for one stuff pack, I already have High end loft , which would you consider is good, I like cars, but if it is all that Fast Lane brings I'll pass. What can you tell me about OLS and Town Life?

First off, don't get Town Life, there isn't enough things for it to be considered worth your while unless you want to own everything. Fast Lane does bring quite a few objects that really add character to garages and elevate them from being drab boxes.

I say get Outdoor Living. I like it the most of the three.

I absolutely adore OLS, it is definitely my favourite, but then I'm not too into cars. It is really lovely for, well, outdoors. :P FLS Also comes with some really classy outfits and hairs as well as the garage decor and cars that Carlos mentioned. TLS doesn't have much at all, so I hear but I can't speak from experience.

Town Life has extremely cool clothing and hairstyles in my opinion but don't expect much from the building/decorating section.

I think go for OLS then, if you're more of an outdoorsy person on the decorating scale but you say you like cars and with FLS you can do up a whole garage.. Ahh, it's a tie! Dx

I think on the Sims 3 site you can view screenshots of every item each SP brings. :)

If you enjoy patios/decks then OLS is the stuff pack for you. There are a lot of hot tubs, outdoor lighting, and one of my absolute favorite dining sets. It works indoors and outdoors in my opinion.

Fast Lane has a great number of cars, but they also have some really great female hairstyles and dresses.

Personally, I enjoy Town Life. If you play a lot away from the home lot, this might be fun for you. It may not have the most building additions, but there are some good outfits for males and females.

I would have to say go with OLS, because as a builder, you'd get the most use out of it.

I agree because I would've said something eerily similar.  :o

I have all the stuff packs except Town Life, because looking at the items there I saw that most of them can be found in generations which I already have.  My favorite stuff pack, aside from high end loft, is the Outdoor Life Stuff, mainly because I'm also a builder. The Fast Lane stuff goes well with Night Life because Sims there like to go out in style. I would say, OLS is the most useful and fun. :)

There are no duplicate items in Generations and Town Life.  I'm not sure what you're talking about with this.

I think athena means that those type of items (not those exact items) are in generations. Like the seahorse spring ride toy in TLS - Generations has 3 different spring ride toys. And TLS has a treehouse, but Generations already added 3.

Oh, right.  That's true.  I think for me personally, Town Life has been the least impressive Stuff Pack.
