Does the trait, "Good Sense of Humor" add anything to writing humor novels?

I don't know. It may because they are both related.

No it does not, it just makes humor novels available to write sooner.

No it does not, it just makes humor novels available to write sooner.
Which may indirectly result in that the sim gets skilled at writing humour novels sooner than usual.

and that would allow them to be able to write Satires sooner.

Wait a minute... Doesn't it also improve the money the sim get for the book after writing it?

Not exactly, what the trait does is it makes it more likely that your Sim will write a better book that involves the trait. E.g. if you have the hopeless romantic trait and you write a romance novel, you have a some-odd percent chance more that you will write a better book which will get you more royalties. So in a way, I guess so, but not just as you had said it.

Right! That does make a lot of sense. At first I thought a humor novel written by a good sense of humor sim would provide the reader with a better moodlet to than a humor novel written by a sim that does not have the trait, but now I've read your post I don't think that will make any sense anymore to. Only the masterpieces provide the reader with a +20 moodlet for the next 24 hours, I thought.

Wow, I didn't know you could get a bonus moodlet from reading, I would hope so though. I love reading and whenever I read a book I feel awesome-er and always add an imaginary +20 to my moodlet area. (Heh, I often talk like I, myself, am a sim, e.g. ignoring homework because my "fun" bar is too low.  ;) Hehehe)

WHAHAHAHAHA!!!! If you are a sim I've already discovered one trait of you now: good sense of humor. ;) But yes, masterpieces give an extra moodlet, besides the fact that Sims, especially bookworm Sims, can have more fun off it because they took longer to finish. It isn't really my first choice when I need my sim to read 50 books in order to write faster, but for carrying it with you, on a long trip from home, it can provide you some easy (not too expensive) fun.

Well thank you :)
Same reason I'm on the computer now, my fun bar got way too low while burning out on my studies for upcoming finals. Thanks for the tip on masterpieces, I had honestly never knew they gave a mood boost. :)

Does anyone know what happens when a "no sense of humour" sim writes a humour novel?  I would expect they wouldn't be very good at it, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried this.

A sim with no sense of humour can write humour novels sooner?  I would have thought it would be just the opposite.

Dry humor maybe. Or just a kind of humor that only 'no sense of humor' sims can appreciate. If that does exist, of course. But I am not sure. I never use that trait.
Good question though, Schipperke. ;)
