Problem With 'Summon Aquainted' Spell

One of my sims met Torgo Pendragon when she ordered a pizza. I keep trying to make her summon him with magic, but the only options it gives me are her sister and her sister's boyfriend. Is it because he's an NPC?

I haven't used the spellbook yet.  Do they have to have a certain relationship level with the person they're trying to summon?

I don't think so. She and her sister's boyfriends were only acquantances.

I believe so, because Simstar says they "met", which at least clarifies to them being acquaintances.

Double check your relationships panel. I sometimes find that sims that I have low relationships with vanish off the panel after an extended period of time.

Really? I never noticed something alike.

I don't think any of my acquaintances have actually disappeared from the relationship panel, but if my Sim has never done anything to further the relationship, an acquaintance sometimes reverts to being a stranger in the panel.

Simstar, just what relationship level did your Sim have with the pizza boy?

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe the Summoning spell only works with people who actually have a residence in the town.  I'm really just guessing here.  Someone would have to do some testing.  Can you summon foreign visitors?  Has anyone had any success at summoning NPCs?
