Can I unlock new hairstyles?

There's a thread about salon hair already. Here's the picture I posted:

Ausette, I don't think the ponytail with the side swept bang is an unlocked hairstyle. It's included in my game without the cheat, and in CAS.

I've only ever seen the ponytail with the bangs in the salon or with unlockOutfits on.

Same. I've never seen it without unlock outfits.

From Sims 3 Wiki page on Eva Drudge [link]:

"Like Beverly Castor her [Eva's] hairstyle is only accessible using the Makeover Station-but can used in CAS with the use of unlockoutfits on/off."

Are you sure you didn't have the unlockoutfits cheat on at the time, or confused it with some similar-looking CC?

I also only get that hair with unlockoutfits on..
