What's annoying me now is my story progression is not, well, progressing the story. Occasionally Sims get married, but definitely don't have nooboos. I took a big risk and swapped families just to make a couple of families have babies, but then not long after I read in the paper they'd been struck by lightning 37 times and died, or drowned! Having recently swapped from console to PC, this is the first time I've managed to go through several generations, and I'm finding I have to make my own townies so my current teens can have some friends or love interests.

Well, about the story progression problem. I've seen some player found out solution to this by having extra sons and have them make nooboos with the townies, and keep the kids relationship bar with member of your household to be at least friend to keep them from dying.

Yes, but if you have a lot of sons from one family, making nooboos all over town, then it still won't be good for future generations because they'll all be related somehow. I thought the point of Story Progression was so you could play a main family and EA took care of the rest of the town.

Story Progression has been pretty much broken ever since the patch for Pets. Prior to that, Story Progression did actually take care of the town. Why it was never fixed, I have no idea.  ???

I've only recently started playing on PC, and generally I've been making my own Townies. It's only because I saw the Kids of Original Townies thread that I thought I'd see what happened with my original townies that I noticed that pretty much nothing happens, except when they all die off from old age and I get a new family move in lol.

I know there are story progression mods (I have to use them to have any kind of interactive game!) but it drives me nuts that I *have* to use one in order to get story progression that SHOULD be provided by the game. I love doing challenges on this forum but I always break the rule about no-mods (I never qualify for HOF) because I can't stand the EA all-sliders-centered face that is on every. Single. NPC. And once you get into later generations you either get random non-original townies that move in (occasionally) or the paperboy who looks surprisingly a lot like the babysitter with different hair color/eye color.

I guess the EA pudding face also annoys me. It's pretty, yeah, but once you see it on every. Single. Other. Sim that EA didn't feel like putting effort into starts to make me feel like every sim looks the same. We have a LOT of sliders, so why is it all the townies (npc and some original) have similar faces! I'll give you an example. I have a legacy in Monte Vista and I discovered a lot of the townies wear sunglasses. One of my family members got engaged so I pulled the woman into Create-A-Sim to get a look at her without sunglasses and it was all the centered slider face!

This is the face I see on every NPC. Almost all adopted children have this face. They might have a different skin/eye/hair color but they all have this face shape. Sometimes the weight slider will be touched, but other than that... it's all this face. I ended up tweaking her face in Create-A-Sim because I was aiming to grab unique genetics, not the centered-slider ones! So even if EA story progression wasn't fixed, if they just added a little variety of face sliders instead of THAT ONE I would be happy.

When I'm imagining exactly what I will do when my teen Sim becomes a young adult, and it feels like it's taking forever for him/her to age up.
When it takes literally forever to teach a toddler all their skills. Toddlers are cute, but I hate teaching them skills.

I hate when my Sims suddenly ignore me -3-

Just when I'm not looking they're sometimes cancel my queues that I assigned for them. That also ruined everything that I've planned for them. Grrr....

(Yes, before you start asking, I am a control freak ::))

I'm getting that recently in my Legacy. I sent my Sim, Tessa, off to the future. Since she was attempting to open the Mysterious Ship in a Utopia, I'd cue up interactions to excavate, dig at the base of rainbows, and harvest crystal flowers. But she'd encounter some sort of problem and drop all eight of my carefully planned interactions. >:( Needless to say I was not impressed.

- Ugly work outfits
- Sims playing computer games all the time
- Sims turning on the stereo and walking away
- On Create-a-Sim when the pre-made Sim has glasses/sunglasses on and you have to go and take them off
- Random Sims turning up to your house and won't go away.
- When your Sim is has a certain trait (like Natural Cook) and you keep getting opportunity requests for that trait (like "make Key Lime Pie for Holly Alto for improved relationship")

I use a different CC skin, but it looks more or less the same.
I find it extremely annoying that in my challenge files, I try so hard to extend the lives of original townies so that one of my later generations can marry them and give non-clone babies. Not only won't they produce, if they die they will be replaced by clones. I can't imagine myself doing the immortal dynasty now that I realize other dynasties give more freedom on avoiding clones. I am not someone who favors extreme sliders or monstrous looks, I actually love so called 'boring' pretty faces but I just hate THAT face now.
I also dislike the townies growing up in horrible clothes, the style can be discussed and I am not a great stylist either but at least I'd want to let the color match. They keep wearing that quantum power suit outfit now that I have the ITF bonus contents, even with ITF switched off. The clones never dress right, and I am too fed up with them I only restyle the original townies now.
BTW I wish the default working outfit can be changed, sometimes they are horribly matched in color and shoe style (part-time job, self-employed) and there isn't much I can do, but to recolor the default outfit.

Some of the CAS sliders produce ridiculous results. Especially the one for the female chest - my current dynasty heir inherited her grandmother's body, and her chest makes all of her clothes look weirdly distorted.

Right? >:( That was so annoying.

For me another annoying thing is having tombstone around the house. I know this is a nice touch for remembering for those who're passed away, but that scary music and the power to cancel the queues are annoying.

Another one:
It’s annoying when random Sims that was burned out because of the sun and then when I want to save them from death just make my Sims stuck and can’t go anywhere without reset Sim. This is happen to Jalissa my townie Sim from Monte Vista who happen has pregnancy that time. Because of that I don’t know why that when the child was born, I only can select one trait for her -_- Fortunately the child born with Genius trait as unselected trait.

Or…

When my child/teenager Sims have field trip, the bus just left them stuck on the bush. I couldn’t do anything than reset Sim and lost the opportunity to collect trip item and missed the event and count them as missed school. Grrr… I hate you stupid bush!

Ugly? At least that's still better than out of place. My politician sim had a shoe-less work outfit(barefoot), and a swimming shorts as a match while he had executive suit as top.

Does your Sim have the Inappropriate trait? They often wear outfits that are, well, inappropriate for the occasion.

I've never had twins before, and it's so much harder than I expected. I usually only have one Sim home at a time (because I don't feel like hiring a million babysitters) and they literally have to run back and forth between the cribs. One gets hungry, then the other, then the other needs a diaper change, then the other. Ugh, I just want them to age up already, but then they'll become toddlers and I'll have to teach double the amount of skills. I don't like twins anymore.
