At 10PM, my Sim’s boss visited my Sim’s apartment. She walked straight to the bed and started napping on it! Well, excuuuse me, boss! But if you wanted to sleep, why did you have to come over to my place to do it? I have yet to kick her out, as my Sim’s working from home on his laptop right now… (She was also two levels lower than he was. No surprise, considering it was a career non-native to Bridgeport—or any town that I know of, for that matter.)

And earlier, with that same Sim, he had a couple of guests he grouped with to go to Waylon’s Hut. They both ended up trying to leave to go home, but my Sim got stuck in the routing queue! One resetSim command later, he made it to the place but ended up just missing Happy Hour. Oh well, at least he gained a skill point in Piano while he was there.

I also find it slightly coincidental that I was playing a Sim based off the Angry Video Game Nerd when all this was happening. Thank goodness there’s no “Mean… Swear At” social interaction.

“You ought to upgrade to Windows 7!”, they said. “It’ll help your games run so much better!”, they said. If I see them again, then they had better know how to stabilize an on-the-fritz copy of The Sims 3 that was working just fine on Windows XP.

Grrr I feel the need to vent about this as it is slowly driving me insane.

Nerds, I am starting to loath this social group as for some time now they have been annoying me with the berate ignorance interaction, I know there is a mod that will stop it but that isn't an option as it's my dynasty and challenge files, I tried really hard to keep them out of my current challenge game but one snuck in when I wasn't looking.

She infected another household member with it but I have tried my best to stop them doing any nerdy things or interacting with each other too much and so far so good, both are very low level and decaying.

But then the newly aged up teenage daughter decides to berate her mothers ignorance, how she isn't even a nerd? a quick look at the mean menu shows berate ignorance is also a genius social so thanks very much for that EA just what I needed all my genius sims doing it even when they aren't nerds   >:(

This one little interaction has totally spoilt the Uni ep for me as it's messing up my family dynamics something awful and makes me wish I'd never installed it, I've even had sims who were flirting back and forth for ages suddenly do this interaction, what's that about? ::)

One of my kids got sick so I had her stay home from school and the second she woke up to go eat, her mom yelled at her and grounded her for skipping school! She was sick, did you want her to infect your bosses kid so in a few days, you get the flu? I did you a favor, Sim! It was like a weird episode of Extreme Parenting on my screen. The girl's sister-in-law let her off the hook a few hours later but still - what a useless dive in a relationship meter.

Another one is when my sims woohoo because they're usually both occults, and then it's in the paper and the "publicly disgraced" moodlet comes up for one of them. They've been dating/just married and it's not like they were out in the park. Did the paparazzi springboard to their penthouse window or did they just woohoo too loudly??

Bizarre, isn't it, that adults can call in sick to work, but kids can't (just like kids get snow days and adults can't).

Also, if you want to avoid the publicly disgraced thing (and can live with the option), you can always opt the household out of celebrity status. Mine is currently off, only to be turned on if I start a file in Bridgeport (or possibly Starlight Shores).

I did because this family lives in Moonlight Falls and I didn't see enough reason for them to have celebrities, but it was after my vampire sim hit three stars as an infant. So the household is frozen with whatever stars they had before and I'm okay with getting free stuff. It's just annoying that it's happens when your sims are married or dating (with an Eternally Faithful moodlet no less). He sued and won but lost a few friends and thus, the momentum I had going for his charisma skill is shot.

I'm pretty sure the parent can call in sick for the child.  I've had it happen autonomously in my games and I get a pop-up saying, "thank you for keeping your sick child home today."

I've only been able to accomplish it by cancelling the action for kids to go to school, but kids can stay home when they're sick without consequences and I get the same message.

It might have been said before. But when a sim walks in on another sim in the bathroom. Unless I have directed them to take a shower or something I don't get why. After dinner someone washes the dishes and walks in on another sim in the bathroom. It just annoys me. Wash the dishes in the kitchen sink, not the bathroom sink, please!!

Also it doesn't bother me but its weird how all 8 sims can fit in a tiny car!

I'm really beginning to get irritated with how the camera pans over to the mascot when it arrives at your sims' house. It usually interrupts something important.

Does anybody else think there's almost TOO much weather in Seasons? Sometimes during the Spring and Fall all the incessant rain day after day makes it impossible for my Sims to do outdoor activities. I know I can turn off some weather activities but I almost wish there was a slider that I could slide that had the options to go from "Little Rain" to "Heavy Rain" and stuff like that.
I'm what you call a "schmorgesborg" of emotions.
