SimFreeek, I think I've only ever played female inventors.  I don't recall which voice.  :)

Hmm, that might be why. I hope female inventors are less clumsy then their male counterpart. Then again, I might not dabble with inventing anymore since Masterful Harvesters are kind of a disappointment considering how much work you have to do to get them...

About burglars, I have a brave sim in my household now, so I am waiting for them to show up to see how well they do their job to justify a trait slot.

"Wild" horses with fancy braided manes.  Are the chipmunks in the woods hair stylists now?  All the explorers wear certain clothes, all the vacation natives wear certain clothes and have limits on their coloration.  Wild horses should have limits like this, too.  I always go in and edit them to make them look more the part.   ;)

I lolled!  I hadn't noticed but now I'll look for that.

Yes. Haven't you seen Snow White? ;)

Not if you have saved any of the "foreign" clothes in your system.  I created a lovely cheongsam with a bamboo pattern and gold trim I got from this forum and I've seen several Chinese tourists wearing it.  Similarly the long skirt and overshirt that Egyptian ladies favour wearing, I changed to look similar to a wedding dress (before I found the store) and I've seen it around town dozens of times.  Whatever styles you've saved in your system, seems to generate tourists and even papparazzi with your clothes in the first generation.  But by generation 4, just about all the townies are wearing "my" clothes.

Two things:

- If I see one more man in Moonlight Falls wear that speedo from the Store as everyday wear, some shoddy developer is going to be hunted down for a vulgarity-filled conversation about how categories in CAS matter, darn it.

- Elder males can't buy the fertility treatment LTR. Who are you to say that my old men can't have a large family later in life?

I started a casual game with cheats the other day to get the hang of all the new things in Supernatural.  My female sim was in the Elixir store and quick as a flash a female townie became her romantic interest and kissed her.  I mean, in about ten game minutes!  I assume the townie had just cast a romantic spell of some kind, and I don't mind that it was a lady, but I was furious that my sim had a romantic interest that I had nothing to do with.  It happened so fast!  Sneaky townies!

I got Showtime last month and i've been playing about with adding some of it to Riverview, I don't want to overload the town with too many new lots so I put a stage at the end of Plaza Park outside the theatre, as well as altering the juice bar to add the pool table and such.

So with my new lots in place I started a new game to try them out, the park got a proprietor okay so all seemed good so far, I sent my sim to go take a look when suddenly boom, day 1 6pm and my new stage gets totalled  :'( Surprisingly no sims got hurt considering how they all crowded round pointing at the sky, must have been about 15 of them total.

Still the rock is very handy for a sim just starting out.

Brave sims, will not be scared of ghosts and simbots, that is technically correct. They will, however, stop what they are doing and get excited for seeing ghosts and simbots, which is just like scared and defeats the point of having a brave trait. =/

When you see that, there's a pretty good chance that that sim has the "insane" trait - their random outfits can come from any category.  But still, I agree - I wish there was a way to tell the game not to use certain items for NPC sims.  I'm pretty tired of pirate boots and clown pants from the carnival set.

The sims in question weren't insane, and I looked in everyday wear while planning outfits for one of my own sims, and the speedo was there in everyday.

I don't want to get rid of it because I use it as swimwear for a couple of my own sims, but you don't put that stuff as everyday and set for random.

That is kinda disturbing. -_-

Another thing that annoys me is my sims worrying about the broken object that they have just done fixing.

Overalls. When I was playing a Dynasty in Riverview it seemed like 2/3 of the male sims that weren't original townies were wearing the overalls that came with the Riverview download.

@Stellastatistic - that same thing happens to me. It happens on my laptop but not on my desktop computer which makes me wonder if it's a slight incompatibility with the graphics card on the laptop.

I've had the same problem - but I think I've found a workable solution.

The obvious solution is to play in windowed mode, and adjust the resolution to your screen size.  That works pretty well, but you can't re-position the view by scrolling off the edge with your mouse in windowed mode - which is a feature I use frequently.

I found a solution that is working very well for me here:  http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/15/346846.page#7486150

The executable "igfxpers.exe" is apparently supplied for intel chipsets / NVIDIA graphics cards and provides additional functionality which you may or may not need.  I wouldn't delete it, but stopping it from the taskbar has fixed my issues with TS3 dimming when I alt-tab in and out of it, and I've not experienced any other issues since I've stopped it.

I hate it when you get the ice cream and deep fryer and place them and then the Sims are drawn to them like flies. They drop everything to go and make food. Annoying. They do it even when they are full.

I hate it when the paparazzi hang around and grumble at your door for hours.

Though I really like Bonehilda, she can be annoying at times. When she can't get somewhere she wants she will grumble forever.  She is also one who will make drinks at the bar and stuff. But... she is invaluable when it comes to babies and toddlers. She takes complete care of them for you. Too bad she can't teach them to walk, talk, and potty. LOL!
