The Buy mode music. It has a tendency to stick around in my game long after I leave buy mode, and you never realize how mind-numbingly bad it is until you listen to it for an extended period  ::)

Yes. I usually end up restarting my game because I start to feel a little insane from the build/buy music.

Or just temporarily turn off the music in the options menu until it goes away.

Serve home cooked meal during party, selects "call guests to meal". Now ALL guests rush there and tries to grab a plate and now everybody is complaining about not able to reach the meal and they all got stuck there.

I completely agree!  In Sims 2, you could use that interaction to great effect.  Everyone would come over and, one by one, each waiting their turn, they'd take their plate.  In TS3, they all come over and spend more time stomping and yelling than eating.  And those are the ones who actually get their food.  Half or more never will; they'll drop the action from their queue in frustration.

Sprinklers are another major annoyance. Or more correctly, sprinklers being listed as entertainment.

SimFreeek, I do love it when they say (something like), O, Schnertz!  My husband and I have taken to saying it when we're annoyed.

Odinsdottir, I paid attention to him during invention and I havent hear that yet. Maybe its from another voice type? Mine is male, 1st voice.

@Stellastatistic - that same thing happens to me. It happens on my laptop but not on my desktop computer which makes me wonder if it's a slight incompatibility with the graphics card on the laptop.

It only ever happens on my desktop. I can't figure out why it does it. I've tried everything from manually manipulating the brightness to checking the in game options and it drives me crazy.

I wish they would have a Lifetime Happiness Reward to prevent burglaries.

That would be great, Like the no bill's Reward from world adventures. It could be an object that autonomously stop's burglars from entering.

Doesn't a Burglar Alarm do that already? It you put it by the front door they panic and then get caught by the police.

I'm annoyed that your sim can't keep some of their job skills, like for the singer. She has an inventory full of crap , but can't perform songs like when she plays her guitar. She went from a Rock Star (can still play guitar), to a singer (can't sing; but, has a yard full of singer gnomes). Now she's level 9 for Magician and I'd like her to still be able to levitate.
Martial artists can still spar, journalists can still write.

SimFreeek, I think I've only ever played female inventors.  I don't recall which voice.  :)

Yes, but it still wakes up the household. The reward would keep the burglars away entirely.
