It annoys me when you're getting ready to take this beutiful screenshot with tab to get the perfect angle.  But then you realize that the walls are down and when you put them up the walls go up in front of you covering what you think could have been worthy of an award for top 10 best screenshots.  Some screenshots just seem so perfect and I hate it when I can't use tab because the walls will go up in front of me.

I have the same problem, except with lights.  For some reason, lights always go up in Tab mode.  I know tha I could change to lamps or something, but I kind of like my lighting.

It's like, I love those lamps, just not when they're on my screenshots.

That's a problem for me too, hence why all of my screenies look like a six year old took them  ;D

When you want to take a screenshot it is a good idea to pause the game. Then when you are in tab mode, you can go back to regular mode, zoom in and put the walls up.

I too have lazy maids! It can be frustrating, but then I realize not all sims are suited to their jobs!

(also, I have found missing books in my family inventory)

4 things(in no particular order)
1. Lack of townies having babies. I'm kind of tired of them moving in the generic townies.
2. The game exit and save time. It's gotten to the point where I use my mom's laptop when my game does either one.
3. This might be a bit random but, the fact that you can't flirt with the cab drivers or even interact with them bugs me. Some of them are very cute.
4. Why can't foreigners stay longer than 4pm  >:( That isn't enough time for me to work my romance skills and land a spouse. Then it's almost impossible to find and woo them again.

Was just remembering in another thread how entirely awful Sims 2 on the Wii was.  The controller was exactly imperfect in every way.  I tried to build a house, which is one of favourite things in the world, and I ended up throwing the wiimote down in total disgust.

You could try going into Create-A-Style while in buy/build mode, then things will match.

Thank you Sherin, but it's not the colours that annoy me, (except the red brick chimney), I change the colours of almost every wall, covering, furnishing items and even things like taps all the time.  But, you can't recolour the chimney, its either red brick or the one with the grey brick that looks more like a basement boiler than a lounge fire, or the swedish style with the metal chimney which catches the house on fire with annoying regularity.  I can't afford to own every EP and stuff pack, so I did not know that there was a modular curtain system with MS.  Can you also raise and lower them to fit the window?  The curtains, like the windows are all different hights, lengths and widths.  The Doors, apart from one or two, no matter how you recolour, there are no windows to complement them.  The windows are either too high or too low to suit, or there is not a suitable single width window to match the main double or triple width window.  I find all my houses are created to complement the few complimentary sets available.  Stair rails are also a problem for outside steps, there are a few matching sets, but none for my favourite fencing.  I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I suppose, but, I would not be happy to have a mish-mash for my home, so don't like having to compromise with a mish-mash for my sims homes.

Ah, I was unaware that chimneys can't be recolored (I don't use them because I can never find a decent place for them). That's a pity, they should be.

As for the curtains, they can't be raised or lowered, because they are just slightly shorter than a full size wall (a half-square lower, I think). If I can boot up the game this evening, I'll see if I can PM you some pictures of what I'm referring to (unless someone else beats me to it).

I don't know if its been said but the wishes the Sims roll to "ask (Sim name) to kiss another sim"  or dance with, or joke with, etc.  I did this once the wife wanted her husband to kiss another woman.  I thought, "stupid but ok" and I made him do it and the wife was furious, I ended up using cheats to save their marriage.  Ever since I cancel those wishes!

The worst part is she stole one of the toddler books I had left on the nursery floor for said toddler to read. I knew Maids put them away but I can't find it anywhere not even in the bookshelf!

As I understand it, some game items (like the MultiTab) are flagged for deletion if they get put into a townie inventory. So your toddler book was probably picked up by the maid, inserted into her inventory, then deleted. :(

Maids. When my Sim aged up my maid helped herself to cake then left for the day leaving dirty dishes and a dirty shower behind at least, she didn't even finish cleaning!  >:( The worst part is she stole one of the toddler books I had left on the nursery floor for said toddler to read. I hate Maids and that's the last time I cake up while on is one the premises!  >:(

I had a similar situation happen, I was living in the old gilman estate (this is for the sims 3 pets ps3) and I was married to a townie and had my sim was pregnant with his baby (ended up being twins).  Anyway, there were a bunch of dirty dishes everywhere because there was a party the night before and my sim was vomiting everywhere because of her morning sickness.  So, the maid cleans up a few dishes then says she's all done for the day.  She comes back the next day cleans a few more then says she's done.  Meanwhile, there's a bunch of dirty dishes all over the house and she hasn't touched them.  A week goes by and she still hasn't touched the dishes so I fired her.

This has to have been mentioned here before, but that awful green-brown hair color that close-to-every generated townie is saddled with. Yeah, you can change it with a mirror, but it hurts my eyes to see nearly every sim outside of my household roaming around with that hideous green hair. I almost want to beg Metro to allow a "No Green Hair" mod to be used in dynasties.

Trip!! I was literally just about to speak about that when I saw your post! There I was in my legacy looking through my heir's relationship panel when I noticed that her boss looked really hot and that he'd make a perfect spouse, so I invited him round and his hair is that colour. I couldn't tell from the portrait. ::) I'm going with it anyway because he's perfect but just changing the hair colour, despite feeling bad about it. Whatever, I refuse to allow that horridness in my legacy genes. :P

well if you folks are talking hair, two words - Agnes's hair.

its got to go.

I have mods installed and will use them to hunt down townies with this hairstyle and change it to anything but.  (I'd rather have them bald!)

Also flippers in athletic wear... bad.
