Using mods, you can set the curfew hours. My teens are "out and about".

I loaded up a family this morning that I hadn't played in awhile and what a mess!  Things were quiet until bedtime.  Then a burglar appeared.  Mom jumped up to beat him up and succeeded, but he entered the house anyway through the garage.  He stole a painting and then stood screaming at the burglar alarm.  Then he moved to the kitchen where another alarm was going off.  What do the police do?  "Oops, we missed him!"  No!  You didn't!  He's still in the kitchen!  They left anyway.  The burglar was actually the last one to leave.  What's worse, he's slated to be someone's future spouse, so now I have a relationship to rebuild.  On top of this, a herd of horses arrives during the night and stays all the next day.  One of the horses was somehow interpreted as a "house guest" and did something offensive, so then all the sims got mad.  Meanwhile, the horse keeps running, around and around and around the house.  And somehow a stray cat found its way inside, then couldn't get out because I'd locked the doors against non-household members.  And of course everyone in the household except for the demanding baby is exhausted from not having enough sleep.  What a welcome back!

I do use mods, but I think they should get rid of it anyways, for people who don't like mods, and want clean games.

That's hilarious!  I can just picture Mom tackling the burglar, the cops leaving without the burglar, horses rampaging through the house, a stray cat, and the baby.  Funniest thing I've heard in a long time!  And it all happened in the span of a single day.

That sounded hillarious Csquared. I use the curfew thing to my advantage. I wanted one of my dynasty teens to stay home and work on their supermax skill.(it was Albatross if anyone is interested) so I sent him out after curfew, whoops guess who got grounded and had to stay home from school.

The fact that some things in the game are called something else entirely in the game code. 'Eco Friendly' for example, is 'Environmentally Concious'. Who on earth would have thought to search for that!!

Tell me about it. I found X-Factor.dmtr in gameplaydata.package. I got all excited, but it turned out it was the icon for the Star Quality trait. It's also the game's name for Star Quality - it is always referenced instead of Star Quality. >:(

Hehe, did the spouse hold a grudge against the burglar for all the inconvenience?

It bothers me that kids can't collect seeds! Also, how Sims get obsessed by one particular action and keep going back to do it constantly. My one Sim is obsessed with painting, and one time she went to go paint instead of getting food like I asked her to and by the time her carpool came she had the "feeling peckish" moodlet!

This is his fourth burglary at this house, actually.  She'd gotten into a pretty decent friendship with him and she has Long Distance Friend, so it took a hit to be sure, but three phone calls to chat set things right again.   :)

I've noticed that when I exit out of the game when kids are at school, when I come back they are "skipping school." Annoying.

Hmm... I think my biggest beefs might be (in no particular order) -

- Weirdness with Photography.  It bugs me that you can be focused right in on something, yet it won't register as anything at all, or it will register as a completely different thing.  Ah, of course... How could I have not known that that Sim is actually a couch?  I mean, there's no couch in the area, but hey...  Also, if you cancel out of taking a photo, it de-focuses your Sim so that you can't see them and have to perform weird gymnastics to re-focus them.

- Thought bubbles showing up on a painting when a Sim paints a portrait, making it look like a panel from a comic.  Just because I can see the "thoughts" doesn't mean all the Sims around can!

- Being told I can't do something in build mode that I am not trying to do.  Yesterday I kept getting the message (while trying to place a fence) saying "Can not intersect water."  What water?  There's no water here!  Ditto "Can't level terrain" when there is no object in the way and I'm not at the edge of a lot or anything.

- Non-Evil/Mean-Spirited/Hot-Headed/etc. Sims (who are my Sims) doing really mean things to others of my Sims with no provocation, causing strife in the household and not making any real sense at all.

- The lack of ability to create some sort of checkbox system or default outfits or...something to keep Townies from rolling up in the most horrific, ridiculous clothing combinations.  Why would a non-Insane, non-Innapropriate Sim wander around in a hospital gown?  Or hotpants and a turtleneck and thigh high boots and a cat-ear hat, all in clashing colors?  It's just awful.

- Appalling rolls for Career clothing.  Yes, of course...my Sim would like to attend her first day at a new job at the hospital barefoot, in a micro-mini and a shirt made of netting.  It's appropriate because, you know, fashion. ::)

- The arbitrary limit of 3 outfits per Sim per category.

- The weird subway mechanics in Bridgeport.  Why take a cab to the nearest station, then take the subway to another station, then get out and get back in a cab (!) to travel you to yet another station?  It baffles me.

- Funky NPC aging, such as the newspaper boys/girls going right from Child to Adult on no discernible schedule.

Oh, there are many others, but these are boiling at the top of my head right now.  I am, I realize, full of pet peeves, and Sims peeves are just part of the stew.

Or townies showing up in identical outfits (and hair and eyebrows and COLORS). I have a picture I recently took in my Dynasty where there are apparently 3 identical triplets watching my magician. Same outfit, same hair color, same hair style, and on at least two of them, same eyebrows. It's creepy weird.

Also, the photography one is so true! I can't get "Lovers At Night," I get "Two of My Friends." Unless I focus in on their ankles. THEN it is "Lovers At Night."

I suspect that there is something in either the _XML resource or the ITUN resource that tells the camera where to focus for particular subjects. I've spent a good deal of time recently analysing the code for photography, and I did see something that looked like that was it. I have similar problems getting certain pictures. 'White Rose' seems to insist that the camera be up and to the right from the actual rosebush - frustrating if you want to take nice pictures as part of the skill.

I also hate the thought bubbles showing in paintings
