Welcome to our Forum, WillGotti!

At first, I wasn't sure what to think of your post, wondering if it was just a big rant.  But then I saw this part and started laughing.

Then I got to this part and laughed again.

I hope you enjoy yourself here.  :)

No it was just a list of things, but I tend to write. I'm working on brevity so I hope my humor helps me through. I love the sims but there's no way anyone can really post just one line and not more about the game. That's why I made it 10 things and thanks for the welcome  ;D

When a bookworm sim tries to read almost constantly.

Or reads the same book over and over.

...at least reading the same book over and over will keep them entertained if they're not under your control? Except I think reading is something they won't stop doing to pee.

1. Pregnant sims can't get tattoos. That makes no sense. I can see if the stomach was restricted but tattoos entirely? There are other parts of they body EA.

To be fair, pregnant women aren't recommended to get tattooed in real life either.

Speaking of pregnancy restrictions, I can totally understand barring pregnant sims from getting tattoos and using the hot tub. So why are they allowed to get a drink from the bar?

Because what is served at the bar is Totally Not Alcohol. It is Nectar and/or Juice. So. (Seriously, I think they have to make that claim with a straight face in order to keep the Teen rating.)

If my sim isn't a normal sim but a Genie, Vampire, etc it annoys me how my pets are always going to Investigate the Strange Sim.
They will be heading to eat, pee or something else and stop to go the check out this strange sim they have known all the life.
The one I like is when my sim comes home from work and the dog runs to the door and greets him and then he investigates the strange sim. It like he's saying I know you, like you and glad to see you home but it don't change the fact your still strange. :)
A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory.

I don't know why I'm saying this but it annoyes the hack out of me that some sims but mostly pets are sinking through the second floor down to the first and can not interact with each other because of that continues loop bug which result in red mood bars which I can't help. It sucked out the fun I had in the game, especially as every update I install doesn't seem to provide a solution. The last update didn't even install at all.

Pathing issues at the school

Generation 4 teen of my dynasty in Sunset Valley has a heap of kids at the school and there is only one sim allowed through the door at a time... so my kid is NEVER going to get on the honour roll because she can't even get in the school door before it is time for her to go home.... Grrrrrr.

I've had plenty of failed dynasties before but never for this reason...

My sim pulled at prank at school. She got caught, so she was unsuccessful, but she got home. Well, after she gets home and is inside the house, police try to round her up. She's already gotten home, for goodness sake! I locked the door so she couldn't get out and the police went away, but the "scold" interaction still came up in Dad's queue, even though he was on his way to the hospital to be with her mother because she as in labor! Thankfully, the "baby is coming" interaction cancelled that and I just made my sim do her homework, but geez!

However, I will say that's the one time a sim has ever gone into labor at a convenient time!
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

I was feeling psychic cause EA programmers always seem to do this and I had a itchy feeling one of those explorers was going to pick THAT particular bed too when there were others... Situations like that are really obnoxious and I know the programmers had to have seen them and are sitting back laughing at players.

Yes, I totally agree with you there! There are so many examples. Just off the top of my head: of course the toilet is going to break on my Sim's first day back to work after 3 days off, especially since she has to leave for work in, oh, about ONE minute. You definitely start to feel psychic about these things and you certainly get the impression EA is having a good laugh at our expense!

Story progression. Without mods, it's really slow. The sims that are out of my active household don't do anything with their lives. They don't get jobs, they hardly ever promote, they don't date or get married... Or if I make them marry and leave the household, they grow old without having children, so I constantly have to change my active household to get townies to repopulate and get on with their lives.
And with mods, it's too fast. I find a 'mate candidate' for my sim, but it turns out s/he is already in a relationship or has children. Or the sim gets into a relationship overnight while my sim is trying to befriend her/him. It's really hard to find someone for my sims to be with.

Another thing I'm annoyed with is how quickly sims turn into vampires or get famous. It's not so rare that I get to see a famous store clerk. ???

Don't know which mods your using; but, with my Story Progression mod I "disallow romance" on the sim I have designated for my sim later in the game; Iset the ratio of vampires to

Edit: dumb cat jumped on the keyboard)
I set my vampire ratio and turn off celebrity. Then I go and for each celebrity who has too high a level for their skills, I knock they're level down.

The most annoying thing is pets! stray animals even when I turned down the number allowed.

The fact that some things in the game are called something else entirely in the game code. 'Eco Friendly' for example, is 'Environmentally Concious'. Who on earth would have thought to search for that!!

I'm using the awesome mode, but I'm going to use NRaas Industries' Story Progression after I re-install my game. Thanks for the tips.

Curfews are annoying! I could lock my Sim in a corner just to avoid the police, but it still doesn't work. Just get rid of the curfews already!
