What I do is when the kid steps in I just tell one YA/A/E sim to "ask to leave"

@saltpastillen What is "drawer failure?" It sounds hilarious.

When sims are on a community lot and keep trying to go home...I hate that!

@sharpsiren  oh, the bad speller strikes again. It is nothing funny at all actually meant to write dresser - must have misspelled that and clicked something completely wrong when I spell checked. Aren't drawers some kind of underwear? That would be funny.

I just loathe vampires as a rule, especially the "sexy cool" kind. And what's a dresser failure? I once noticed a newly aged-up Sim kid wrestle with an apparently stuck dresser and fall on her rear when it finally opened, that was actually rather amusing. ;)

Oh, one other annoyance: pet anatomy. Many of the premade pets look really bad or at least not much like the real-life counterpart breed at all. Even without putting any slider in the extreme maximum or minimum positions, you can easily end up with some pretty grotesque-looking animals. Horses with huge barrel chests and no stomach to speak of, horses with bad sway backs and misshapen lumps for a croup, horses with hugely exaggerated Arabian "dishes", and so on. I see it a lot, it makes me wince every time, and it's one reason I won't ever be able to play a "legit" Dynasty or other such challenge that forbids any and all use of cheats -- I just HAVE to go into CAS and fix the poor animal so it doesn't look half-starved or like a caricature.  >:(

@saltpastillen @sharpsiren: I think you're both right. In American English, "drawers" are the part of a dresser that you pull out to retrieve your neatly-folded clothing. A dresser may also be called a "chest of drawers". "Drawers" meaning underwear is a bit of an archaic usage in America, but may be less archaic elsewhere. Someone with neatly organized underwear might be said to have a "drawer drawer" in their dresser - but then whoever actually did say that would probably be pelted with rotten fruit for the bad pun.

...and I did figure the "drawer failure" was the animation where the sim wrestles with the drawer a bit and ends up falling. I've never seen a sim with anything that might be described as "drawer failure" referring to underwear. :)

...and "drawer" is a funny-looking word, especially when you consider that my regional accent pronounces it with one syllable.

Drawers could be some kind of underwear, but it could also mean a "chest of drawers" which is the basically the same thing as a dresser.

:)

and I can only assume a drawer failure is when the sim struggles and then falls backwards after trying to open the drawer/dresser

agree 100% with this one, if I saw some of those horses in real life I would be calling the SPCA, some of them look so skinny and their gut is all sucked up.  I would also suggest to their owners they geld them and stop breeding mutants!  ;D  It also bugs me that a) their manes and tails are two completely different colors and b) they have those braids in them.  If they're wild they should have no braids, especially the tail braid!!

Why don't you think they look like the real-life counterparts? To me, they look exactly like the real life counterparts! Just the traditional variants and not the man made concepts. I like that a lot. And what is wrong with breeding/pet genetics? No pet has to look "perfect." To me, those animals have fun, interesting patterns colors on their fur, especially when it comes from both parents.  :) I made my Persian cat's Simself, and all I had to do was adjust his fur coloring, since the original Persian is more brown than my cat. The face, eye color, and body structure was already perfect down to the last detail!

This is probably an old complaint, but I hate it when I send a group of teen Sims to do their homework and they all pick the same chair, when the table has 6 chairs!
*Enter the stomping 'can't get there' tantrum and the action drops. Ugh!

Ditto, when the whole family is attempting to eat at the same time they all go for the same chair. By the time the last sim has sat down the first sim has finished eating.

re: drawer failure

Thanks to everybody who replied. I figured that was what was meant (when the sim tries to open the dresser drawer but falls down). Now it's even funnier to imagine it as the drawer their drawers are in :)

I'm sure this is an old complaint... but butlers.  Ugh.  My family has one now who makes TONS of food.  Good food and the family happily eats it all but he makes it even when the family was all gone (he was there alone)  Now on a good note he does repair things almost as soon as it breaks, and he makes the beds, but the showers have never been cleaned by him and I've just made the toilets self cleaning so they stay clean.  Seriously, I'm spending money to have this dude there and he can't clean the showers?  instead he makes food when no one is home?  ::)

Oh I hate this!  and then no one does their homework.  Even worse when no one sits at the table and instead sits on the kitchen floor in front of the fridge... again more "can't get there" tantrums.    ::)

Butlers have to be the only good thing in Sims when it comes to service! Babysitters never do their job, and the maids will be like "uh I'm not cleaning that up..." Uh aren't you supposed to be a maid?  ::)

LOL Vampires are really fun in TS3. So much better than their TS2 counterparts. I don't understand why people mind the vampire/celebrity takeover, because I honestly like it. It adds a little random spin to my game. Realistic tends to be really annoying. The Sims 2 vampires were downright annoying. I hated how even an open window could set their needs down dramatically.

See I've never had a maid problem, they've always cleaned up, better than this darn butler.  And I rarely get babysitters but when I have they've been good, I even had one who mopped the floor (flooding sink) and played with the child before putting her to bed.  Butlers are fine usually... and I try to have someone in the cooking career to get the fridge that comes with level 10 (so the food keeps forever) then the butler can keep making food until he leaves, and I have piles of food to last me forever.  Its the fact he's not cleaning anything that's frustrating!  My sims complain about the dirt, and I think "what am I paying you for"?
