Things that annoy you in the Sims

It annoys me that before Showtime and all it's patches, if you paused the game and then saved then the next time you loaded the game it would be paused. But now when you load a game it always is running no matter what. I was waiting for my sims game to load while having lunch one time and when I got back it was the middle of the night (the game had left off in the morning) and my sims were missing work and starving!

I agree! I think it has to do with the simport (i.e. in case you sent your sim somewhere).

I don't think you can save whilst simporting. It's really annoying though!

Yeah its really annoying, especially along with the fact that whenever I try to use simport it fails.

I don't like the fact you can't see your sim while they're on tour. Nor can you control them, which sucks.

That when the kids get married and move out, the parents can't go to their graduation.

They've shown up when I've played.  Of course, I'm playing the kids by then.

I get annoyed at those quirky things that do what they are supposed to most of the time, but then for no apparent reason, they don't. I'm building a house and it has two basement levels. I decided the lower level needed a few changes so I'm trying to extend the basement and it tells me it can't do it because of the basement below! What's going on, there is no basement below. I ended up moving the entire floor plan of that level one square to the side because the game didn't want to build a square of basement where I needed it

One of my sims is in the Stylist career. I always give the client what he/she wants. Usually, I get they like it, but every now and then, I get a customer who says they hate it. That really annoys me, especially when they asked for something simple (like only new makeup), but I guess it's just part of the job.

I want Emerald to be an inventor, but she can't read the books for it because she's a child. Ironically, she can use the workbench. Too young to understand a skill book, but old enough to understand using a workbench. Huh...

There are some weird ones.  Some of them (like gardening), I think it's just a case of not having the animations for the child to garden. 

But yes, if you think  about it it makes no sense!  I think the kids should be able to read the skill books, even if they can't use the equipment.

Huh. . . I'm patched up too, and if I save a game paused, it comes back up paused.   But I have a mod that does auto-saves for me, so maybe that's been altered too.

I've done that by accident too. . . meant to hit pause and didn't, so the game was running on superspeed, and I want off to make lunch.  Yeah, when I came back, they were all missing work, starving, and completely miserable!

It's all with the sim's traits. That's why it's hard to please them, and job experience.

What annoys me when you invite someone over, they say sure a second later oh wait something came up

The stompy hand-waving tantrum they do when something is in their way...and the fact that they keep trying to do whatever it is they're unable to do no matter how many times you try to cancel the action!

twallan's Saver Mod? If so, I have it and am going to be very happy next time I load a Saved Game that Saver Saved.
