The group outing feature is starting to annoy me. Every time I invite a sim out, it turns into a group. I don't want a group! My sim went to the movie theater after work (to get her mood up) and I wanted her to invite her boss there, so I could work on their relationship. It would be easier to invite her to the theater than to the house because my sim lives in a high-rise building. Well, when her boss got there, it immediately turned into a group outing. The outing ended as quickly as it started and the boss went home. She and my sim didn't even get a chance to talk and my sim got a negative moodlet! I really wish we could turn the group feature off. I'm sick of it!

Yeah the group thing annoys me too. I especially get irritated when my household decide to group up and I get the pop up saying Rachel is going somewhere that will split up the group do you wish to continiue. Why yes I would because she is going to work.

And when the group is one of four and two of the sims somehow end up alone, it turns into a date. I don't want my sim dating her friend's boyfriend, thank you.

How... how often do you encounter meteors?  I've got about 300 hours played according to the Steam counter, and I've only had one land.

I've played 2,000+ hours on my steam counter.  I've probably had two dozen or so meteors and some games I've had them twice.  One game had three separate hits.  The most frequent meteor target in my games has been Sunset Valley but I've had quite a few in Bridgeport.

My Sims spend an awful lot of time outdoors and not just gardening where I usually grow all the plants (about 30 plants after travelling) to perfect quality because I always make my Sim green thumbs, natural cooks or anglers (or combinations thereof).  I also use the outdoor for sculpting and inventing (so I don't burn down my house) and my Sims paint outside, discover potions and learn their instruments.  They eat, sleep and bathe indoors of course, but apart from going to work, the gym or the library, they are always outdoors.  The pre-made houses often don't have enough room for skills advencement indoors and besides it never rains, so I take advantage of the daylight.  The downside to being outdoors most of the time, is that I avoid my Sims befriending celebrities, so they can stay under the paparazzi radar or until they can afford a fence around their lot.

FWIW: I have all the EP's except Showtime.  My son says he's getting me that for Mother's Day so I've just got hang in there for another few weeks.

Can we get back on topic please this thread is about things that annoy us in the Sims not which EPs we have or who has had meteors.

Probably a really silly thing but the sports report in the paper irritates me for some reason. I just don't see how it helps at all. Knowing who moves to town, births, deaths, marriages and finding a hotspot can be help to a player.

I always cancel the newspaper delivery as it is really annoying and just clutters the yard!

It annoys me how pets bring in the newspaper and your sim stops what they're doing to take it from them.

I also happen to be tokophobic (and a whole lot of other -phobics)

I know this is a bit off topic, but, if you don't mind answering, what is tokophobic?

I don't like how children can't read skill books. I'm in Twinbrook, playing with the Greenwood family. I want Emerald to be an inventor, but she can't read the books for it because she's a child. Ironically, she can use the workbench. Too young to understand a skill book, but old enough to understand using a workbench. Huh...

It annoys me that before Showtime and all it's patches, if you paused the game and then saved then the next time you loaded the game it would be paused. But now when you load a game it always is running no matter what. I was waiting for my sims game to load while having lunch one time and when I got back it was the middle of the night (the game had left off in the morning) and my sims were missing work and starving!
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.
