Oh, now this is absurd.  The same burglar I mentioned a couple posts ago robbed the same sim.  This time the sim lost the fight.  What did the burglar do?  Run away.  So . . . if you lose a fight, you get to rob the house.  If you win the fight, you run off?  And I'd been hoping to make him a romantic interest.   :-[

While teaching a teenager to drive, they get about a block down the street and stop. End of lesson. I have to cut to them, have the teen ask again to learn, just to have them do the same thing all over again. It's even worse when the teacher is across town from where the teenager ended up. The teen has to take a taxi back to the teacher to ask them for a driving lesson.

I tell you teaching someone to drive is no joke! I know this is off topic: but, I've taught adults  and teens how to drive and my grey hairs show it!

No, I just stopped teaching them. I can't even sit in the car when my husband is driving! He needs re-training in my book! When you learn to drive at 14 and have never had a ticket, you freak when others are at the wheel.

I can normally sit there oblivious to someone's crazy driving, but my one pet peeve is tail-gating. I feel very nervous when travelling too close behind another car. I think you have to have the right kind of personality to teach someone to drive. Your sim teacher sounds like my Mum! My first driving lesson, in a manual (stick) she expected me to have the hang of the clutch right away. We started driving down the paddock in 1st, then 2nd, and then she was like 'brake, brake, BRAKE!!' There was nothing in the way, but she slammed on the handbrake, and LEAPT out of the car. I stormed off declaring that I was going to move to the city and rely on public transport! My Dad was MUCH better at instructing.

The station fire alarm is too annoying for words.

Agreed! For me, it gets even more annoying when your sim progresses higher up the career ladder and can work from home, and you have to install the alarm at home as well, which is part of the reason why I seldom ever take up the Firefighter career when I play.

...Yeah, that's me.

Must be fun for the other sims in the house too.

..I hate how you can pause, or fast forward in the Sims. Why not in real life? I mean, I could fast forward through school (have you noticed Sim Kids have 9 minutes of school, normal speed on?) and drama, pause during historic moments (for me) and pause before a bad decision.

Plus, you can reset the game and go back to where you first left off..wish that was possible, too.

Lol.  Sounds like you're more annoyed with real life than you are with The Sims!  :P

This isn't End of the World Annoying, just a Wish That Hadn't Happened.  I'm playing a sim for a new project and she got that "I wonder why it got dark all of a sudden" notification.  I wondered, too.  Is this something new with Showtime, I thought?  Then I remembered.  She was at work.  Run, leave, get out!  She made it in time, and though three sims were singed, nobody actually died.  I sent her back to pick up the space rocks and wouldn't you know it?  The biggest one is smack dab in the middle of the rabbithole and she can't get to it.

The following made up for that small inconvenience.  She invited a friend over who happened to be among the singed.  The friend showed up still singed and began heckling my sim, a two star celebrity.  My sim gets the Feeling Unlucky moodlet.  Yeah, because she was totally the one that got hit by the comet.  Super unlucky for my sim.   ::)

Yeah, because running away so that a rock the size of an Old Lemon doesn't land on your head is a totally silly thing to do.
