Anything stored in a WA chest is essentially frozen in time.  Food will never spoil inside a WA chest, regardless of what kind of refrigerator you've got.  I make a practice of keeping a supply of Ambrosia in WA chests for dynasties so they can be used at a moment's notice.

Do I understand this right - you can cook a bunch of perfect meals and keep it in the chest?  Instead of the fridge?  ( I usually max out culinary career just to get the fridge... I don't have to do this anymore?) *excited*

You understand this right.  See my post above for the inherent drawbacks and benefits aside from prepared food lasting forever.

The only real drawback is that you can't send them to the chest to grab a serving of a meal like you can with a fridge.  You have to open the chest and place the whole thing in their inventory or on a surface (Ambrosia doesn't have that problem, since you can only prepare a single serving).  But in light of the benefits, this is a very small matter in my opinion.  It's easy enough to put it back after everyone is fed.  ;)

I do this anyway when I have to put up with a cheap fridge for a challenge or something - it avoids sims getting the 'tastes like fridge' debuff. I can see how the benefits far outweigh the costs!

I read what you wrote above about drawbacks... I dare say that its barely a drawback, and definetly something I can live with!!  I guess I need to take my Sims on a vacation!  :D

Great tip Hasfac. Thanks for sharing. :) Like others I have always maxed the culinary career just to get the fridge. And have to watch my sims like a hawk to make sure they don't eat the Ambrosia I have stored there. Until I get around to getting the food replicator to store them in when I make it later. Will be nice to have the already made servings in a safe place.
I use the chest to store everything else but just assumed meals would spoil in them.

I'm raising a foal with his mother for the first time and I have to constantly prevent the Sims from bottle feeding him! "Put that bottle down, not only isn't he not hungry but when he becomes hungry he will nurse his mother he don't need you shoving bottles in his face all the time"

After the glitches, memories and patches that fix one problem but create another, I hate paparazzi.  They stand outside my Sims' gate and have hideous and/or evil laughs.  With paparazzi, I'm reluctant to let my Sims have parties because they can sneak in and then won't leave.  Another peeve is the uninvited townie or NPC who just shows up in your house.  My daddy Sim came home from work and headed straight to the shower.  As he walked home, some unknown Sim follows him through both the gate and the front door.  Then she follows him into the bathroom which gives him an embarassed moodlet.  He shoos her out of the bathroom and she raids the fridge.  Then she goes into the nursery and picks up newborn nooboo.  Obviously this Sim has the inappropriate trait. Grrr...

The next peeve is the minor friends and acquaintences my Sim had to meet and greet to max out the Charisma skill, who end up hating my Sim because she now has a family to juggle and can't be bothered going to parties and making half a dozen phone calls a day.  Why can't they just fade to strangers and then disappear?  Is that too much to ask?

I ignore the paparzzi, even though my sim is friends with most of them. They stand outside starving and eventually go away.
Anyone uninvited I ask to leave. My sim is star level 5 and EVERYONE asks her to parties because she has her charisma skill at "Best friend" level. So often she ignores the parties, because I bought her the LTR for "Distant friends". No one ever bothers her. Though, she had a few friends call her penthouse at 12am. She buzzed them in and then asked them to leave.

I didn't do the opportunites for aquaintances, since my sim makes friends walking down the street. She just ignores everyone she's not interested in. Meaning most of the town, except her best friends.

I hate paparazzis as well, but at least you can just build a fence and keep them out. What I hate the most from Late Night are that every sim ends up becoming a level 5 celebrity! How annoying! and they keep getting those annoying phone calls from their stupid agent! I always end up accepting one celebrity opportunity and then not completing it, just so that it will block other ones from popping up. And the fans! They keep asking for autographs and pictures and make my sim stop doing whatever he/she is doing. EA should definitely add the option to block celebrities in the game or something. I like them every now and then, but when every sim in town is famous it gets boring and tedious.

I have learned to adjust. By getting the "long distance friend" LTR, she can ignore many people in town, even though she has completed the charisma skills. Her husband, on the other hand, is being harassed BIG time! He's a 5 star; but doesn't know that many people. I make both ignore their phones.

I hate the fact I can't change the style of the "Mullet Fencing." Not only that, but I can't even change the matching stair railing to match the other two wood colors of the fencing. I'd love to hear a way around this is there is any.

Ugh, I just discovered what galloping at level 10 looks like for horses.  I really enjoyed the previous animations, but this is terrible!  It looks like something isn't working right, but I suspect it's working fine.  How could anyone ever imagine that that would be pleasing to the player?

You should be able to change the style of the fence and the stair railing. Create a Style works on them both.
I'm not sure why you can't. Maybe someone else can help. You might try asking in the help section.

try running your pet (big dogs are good at this, as well as horses) at number 3 speed.  Mine always look like their legs are running backwards!  Its funny, though annoying
