You can turn memories off. I can't remember exactly how at the mount and I am on my iPad, so I can't check, but it was probably in game options. They used to annoy me no end till I found out you could turn them off.

You can, yes, but that turns off the notification. The memories themselves still exist, though.

The scrapbook. You open the Sim's scrapbook and manually delete all of the memories.

Oh ok, thanks. For now I think I will stop replying while on the iPad because my spelling is looking atrocious using the smaller screen in silly keypad lol

Oh yes, I do hate memories. I don't understand why EA didn't bother to include a 'delete all' button. How hard can it be?

What?!  You mean you don't love intrusive game additions that add nothing to gameplay?  You mean everyone dislikes that kind of addition?  I had no idea.

(End sarcasm now.)   ;)

That's probably what EA are thinking, minus the sarcasm. :P

I'm hoping that EA will add a 'delete all' button in a patch, because memories are one of the most annoying features ever!

I agree. Why can't they let you just capture your own memories? I delete the memories; but, capture the first kiss, wedding, etc. on my own so that the scrapbook is truly like my sim's memories.

What they should do is let us have the option of adding in our own screenshot later. Like I know a lot of us take pictures of Dynasties and such so that would maybe be a better alternative.
Although I probably would just rather it be removed all together! I could use the extra memory it takes up. :P

Presently you can "Capture the moment" which shows as a memory. the problem is that you need to delete the other nonsense memories to have space. SO, it should be you capture the memory and not EA!

Yeah that's what I meant. But also if you just wanted to take a bunch of screenshots later then put them in the scrapbook so it wouldn't interrupt gameplay.

Wouldn't they go bad faster?

Anything stored in a WA chest is essentially frozen in time.  Food will never spoil inside a WA chest, regardless of what kind of refrigerator you've got.  I make a practice of keeping a supply of Ambrosia in WA chests for dynasties so they can be used at a moment's notice.

Oh wow! I didn't know that one! Do we have that little tid-bit in the guide anywhere?

You know...I don't believe it's in the guide itself, but I have mentioned it a time or two in other threads.  But perhaps it is worthy of an honorable mention somewhere, now that you mention it.

The only real drawback is that you can't send them to the chest to grab a serving of a meal like you can with a fridge.  You have to open the chest and place the whole thing in their inventory or on a surface (Ambrosia doesn't have that problem, since you can only prepare a single serving).  But in light of the benefits, this is a very small matter in my opinion.  It's easy enough to put it back after everyone is fed.  ;)

Edit:  The above paragraph is as much of a benefit in some cases as it is a drawback, though.  If you store something in a WA chest, it can only be manually removed.  Thus, you don't have to be concerned with Sims making Life Fruit Pancakes, when you'd rather the Life Fruit be used for something else, by placing them all in a chest.  And if you do pre-make Ambrosia and store it in the chest, you'll never have to worry about someone else grabbing a serving when they don't need it (or in the case of a Dynasty, can't eat it).
