Umm.. isn't it probably gone because the sims ate it?  ???

If I can play a family for a while without having them empty the fridge, I should be able to leave a while without their running out of food. In addition, if they ran out of food, why didn't they buy more themselves?

Sound plausible that is what EA is attempting to simulate when they purge the contents of inactive fridges, though I definitely see how that could be annoying.

Mind you, provided you return to the lot before 3am (when the fridge cleanup occurs), the food will remain.

Another way would be simply store all the ingredients in a [World Adventures] chest.  They won't be purged in that case.

Wouldn't they go bad faster?

I don't think produce and fish ever go bad in the fridge. It's prepared meals that will spoil. I'm concerned with the produce, not meals.

Only meals go bad, you can leave everything else(produce and fish) in the fridge or world adventure chests forever and they wont go bad.

I hate when the babysitter will wake up a sleeping toddler for no reason.  And I really hate it when they will stand there and just watch the toddler scream to be fed  and do nothing.  My babysitters are totally useless, they literally just watch the baby or toddler!

Mine spent their time watching TV or playing video games.

Somehow my game glitched and my Sim lost the entire contents of his fridge after going to Egypt.  All his perfect quality fruit and vegies, and the perfect cheese, eggs, patties, steaks, fish... (all those perfect death fish .. sob!) all gone and he has only the start up normal quality food.

I lose stuff all the time moving house but this is the first time it's happened to me on a WA trip.  Also the first time I'd sent my Sim off on WA without stocking some food in his personal inventory reasoning he had accumulated too much high quality dried food and he wasn't going tomb raiding after this trip.

I finished the dangerous creatures collection but at what cost?  The loss of all those perfect vegies and he only had a few garlic and flame fruits plants growing.  Upside, at least I have perfect fertilizers!

I have decided to marry him off to the first green thumb girl he can find in Bridgeport.  Any ideas forum?

Urgh!! Leave my instruments alone!!! Party guests keep coming and playing my instruments when my sims want to play them! I'm constantly telling other sims to 'take a break from playing'. Especially at parties, but also when they are out and trying to get tips, other sims keep drawing my crowd! SO annoying!

During my Handyman challenge, a little girl in China commandeered my sim's sleeping bag.  I'd placed it and he was on his way outside to use it and she beat him to it.  Not cool.

Memories. I wish memories were optional, because I hate them.

Memories are the worst thing in the sims by far! they make my game lag, and every save file takes ages to load when I don't delete them. Plus, when I have larger households, my game lags when they get a new memory, even when their memory-book-thingy is empty!

I totally agree about the memories. I wish you could just turn them off completely on EA's terms. The memories in Sims 2 were are so much better in Sims 2. It didn't have the annoying dinging. I think it's even more annoying at a party, like Chuckles said, when the stereo is going, and a Sim will still play the instruments randomly.  >:(

I wouldn't mind memories nearly as much if every other one wasn't ridiculously trivial, or there weren't multiple memories at once about what's essentially the same event. I can see that my sim repaired a toilet thanks, and furthermore, no, my sim did NOT necessarily name a star/satellite after that special sim with a twinkle in their eye (or sometimes two sims, which, what?), which of course comes right after the memory of the discovery of the star/satellite itself. :P

It also bugs me that there doesn't seem to be a way to select more than one memory to delete in the scrapbook at one time, it just makes the pruning that much more aggravating.

Dear Toddler thing, why must you take your toy all the way out to the garden (Which is way down the far end of the back yard) to play with it. You have plenty of room to play with it in the house, I have seen you do so multiple times. Having your parents go all the way out there to get you then have to go back to pick up the toy is time consuming and annoying.  ::)

Said toddler is now a child, second toddler is about to age up into one, I find it amusing that they are identical even though they are not twins, lol. (Both girls are clones of their mother).

You can turn memories off. I can't remember exactly how at the mount and I am on my iPad, so I can't check, but it was probably in game options. They used to annoy me no end till I found out you could turn them off.
