I was annoyed with that too, but then I realised if they're animal lovers they already like all of the animals so there's no need to have a trait saying they love dog, and cats etc.

I agree. I think that animal lover is just a more encompassing version of the cat lover and dog lover traits.

(don't have pets myself so I don't know much about the traits)

Animal lover means you like all the animals, not limiting to dogs or cats or horses.
Basically, it's a three-for-one trait - use one trait slot instead of three.

EDIT @Jeana: If you're an animal lover, then you're obviously a cat lover as well. You don't need two traits telling you the same thing.

Is it just me, or did freewill get more annoying? It seems my sims keep cancelling commands I've issued to do their own thing. It's driving me nuts! My sculptor is on a time limit to get the ice sculpting challenge completed, and he keeps buggering off to do whatever he wants! And my painter is no different! Blah!

Chuckles - make sure there isn't something that's causing them to lose their queues.  Pets, certain actions by others might all contribute.

Nope. Nada. Although I have noticed that doing anything with pets overrides everything else, including basic needs. My sim will wet herself while teaching the dog a trick, rather than stop. Perhaps this is why they cancel their queues to do pet related stuff. At other times I catch them going to do other non-pet-related things though, but it's possible that the pet related stuff made them stop in the first place. I'm usually well on top of needs and wants.

Like for me it's when I click on a expecting mother and say take her to the Hospital they run out to the car and she gets behind the wheel and drives instead of the father.

This is one of that things. And not just that, but the fact that when they return from the hospital, no matter what car they are driving, they come back by TAXICAB... Why did you buy an expensive luxury car if you are going to return in taxi with the car in the INVENTORY??? I thought it was a bug to be fixed in later patches or expansion packs, but they haven't done it yet.

The next annoying things are the sprinklers.  The continuous "Play with" interaction, when there are other, more important things to do really make me MAD.

I always have this problems when teaching toddler's their skills. I send the parent to teach them, and then they go down the stairs while the toddler tries to follow. Then both sims are stuck, since the baby can't go down the steps.
Also, my butler's sleeping habits. The first time I hired a butler, it was 3:00 pm. I assaingned her a bed and everything. TThen it was 2:30 am and she refused to go to sleep. She finally falls asleep at 7, but then she is asleep for the rest of the day. And she is the only butler in Twinbrook. Constant annoyance.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Lol my dynasty's house has a porch out front and one time one of the immortals took a toddler outside of the house. That was annoying because then they couldn't get back inside without stopping somebody else!

Playing in sprinklers is bad enough; but, if the sprinkler is near the terrace, they spend all their time trying to mop up the puddles.

Not totally.

With the individual cat/dog/horse lover traits, it increases the rate at which you can train said animal, decreases the possibility of interaction failure, and gives you a 2 hour moodlet after interacting with the animal in question.  With the Animal Lover trait, you get the increased training rate and decreased interaction failure with all animals, but you don't get a moodlet.  The reason they conflict is likely a matter of game balance.

If the bonuses stacked with each other, it would be overpowered.  You could train an animal in days and would never fail an interaction, even if the animal was in the worst possible mood (and if you took all 3 of the individual pet lover traits, you could rack up 3 instant moodlets with a single interaction with each animal).  If they didn't stack, they would be redundant.  You'd basically be wasting a trait slot just to get a moodlet.

Twice in my dynasty I've had to replace a Sim's bed just because an enemy (other family member) slept in it.  Maybe they can introduce a "burn the sheets" option?

Also, I don't like when I don't get a bill notification and the repoman comes.

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you like other sims sleeping in other sims beds?

A couple of notes about this particular game and my style.  I'm working on my immortal dynasty (my 3rd Gen. is pregnant) and I have 5 sims in play right now.  I don't have a lot of extra beds in my house, although I can easily afford more (which is probably the real solution to my issue). I find it easier for my game play, when I have to control so many sims, to essentially assign my sims to a bed.

On to the issue at hand.  I have one sim that has developed a desire to argue with everyone, so she's making enemies quickly.  Then she's sleeping in everyone else's beds while I'm working with the other sims.  As a side note, this sim is my Gen. 1 immortal and I've allowed her a lot of free-will while I'm working on the other generations.

Anyway, from what I've recently observed, my sims appear to not want to sleep in a bed where an enemy once slept.  Therefore, I have to reroute the others or do some juggling in order to get everyone to sleep.

I have been successfully using the eyedropper tool in the build menu to copy the bed and replace it.  It is just an annoyance.

If everyone has their own room, you could just lock the door to everyone but them.
