Reiterating an old frustration: maids. I'm playing a family in Bridgeport at present. I know that bimbo Delicia Hoover is useless, so I managed to get her replaced by the slightly less buffoonish Feng Choo. Sometimes Locke Wise shows up and he's no better than Delicia, but most days we get Feng and he does a decent job. Today, though, he stood on the front lawn shouting and stomping his feet. All the family members are celebrities now, so I think he was trying to take their pictures and they were ignoring him
because he's supposed to be cleaning and they have gardens, upgrades and friendships to attend to. So today everything remained dirty until I finally set one of the less busy sims on the chores. What's more, I think Feng was causing my sims to glitch. In between tasks, they'd run to a certain point like I'd told them to go there first. Like, instead of toileting and then showering, they'd toilet, run outside, then walk back in to shower, even though the toilet and shower are in the same room. There seem to be different points for sims when they're upstairs versus downstairs. And the running! At least they get places faster; that is, if I'd asked them to go anywhere at all.
As soon as Feng left, charging me for the nothing he did all day, the running stopped. I'd hate to fire him since he's the only one that works, but good grief, we're not paying him to dance the hokey pokey on the lawn!
