What really annoys me is the sprinklers.  It's getting to the point that I hate to put in a garden. I've have Sims who were starving and had the  "really has to pee" moodlets and they would not move away from those sprinklers.
I know. And then if the sprinklers are blocked off by plants they start complaining. And then they try to get to the sprinkler again!

my sim has a colletion of great nectars that she serves. However, the people visiting make quick drinks and ignore the 600 year old nectars!

I think I would like to have guests that were happy to drink the cheap stuff and leave the good nectar for me.  Maybe I should start inviting Sims to my gatherings instead of humans!

The overall bugs drive me nuts. Same with the babysitters. My baby was starving and the babysitter just sat there playing video games the whole time. The social worker took the baby away. To this day, I almost never play babies and have to age them up TSM/Original Sims style, or as soon as they get their IF Doll.

There are plenty of things to hate, but if there's something I really love is the option to lock doors.

Have an annoying uncle who keeps burning mac'n'cheese while the spaghetti is right next to him? Lock the fridge up. Your alcoholic butler is drying out your nectar supply? Lock it up. That guy from work crushed into your party just to steel the baby's candy? Lock the child up. The possibilities are endless.

I have to say, the Stealing Candy is my favorite. Although, I'm more irritated with Over-Emotional Sims crying all the time. I am not a fan of Story Progression either. I want my Sims to do thing the way I plan them, not the way the computer plans it. I liked Sims 2 style of Story Progression (nearly non-existent) much better.

Don't even get me started...

When my sims are couch potatos and they sit on the couch for a few hours...and then they get up to do something- and their butts are sticking up. I'm not sure if that's a glitch, but that's annoying.
And...I agree with the rest!

I really hate how sims you aren`t playing, especially outside the household, neglect themselves.

Ooh, the scolding!  If my sim-kids are 5 minutes late for school, they get yelled at, and by the time all is said and done, they're at least an hour late for school.  That doesn't make sense. . .

And the cooking, with everyone trying to make their own food instead of eating from the food put out.  I make liberal use of the 'Call to Meal' command to get around that one.  I also have one sim bring another drinks/glasses of nectar, so they don't make their own. Or I have a family member act as a bartender, which seems to stop other sims from making their own drinks.

I've actually never played an Over-Emotional sim, so I can't speak to that one, but the idle animations can really get on my nerves.

Babies.  Either they're ignored, or they're swarmed by every adult in the house, and they all proceed to take the stinky toddler, and give it a bottle, when I'd much rather put the kid in the high-chair!  And putting it back in the crib?  Questionable at best.

And the entire household (plus guests) will be obsessed by something, right now it's the Gnubb set, previous examples include the Water Slide and the Hot Tub.

I almost never switch families, so Story Progression isn't that much of a problem for me.  I usually play legacy-style, even if I'm not playing a legacy.

The constant manhandling of the toddlers always drove me nuts. No real life toddler is comforted by being constantly held like that. Brandi Broke was a very family oriented Sim, and she NEVER manhandled Beau like that ever. Don't get me started on the babies either. The way their always left on the germ-y floor and manhandled. Again, no real life parent would handle their kid like that, and Brandi Broke never even held Bentley Broke that way. (I named him Bentley back in my Sims 2 days, and this was before Teen Mom and the Bacholorette).

This is only a partial annoyance i noticed last time I played.  A ways back there was some free downloadable content from the sims3 store, which included the couch shaped like a pair of lips, and one like the tailgate of a car.  Orginally after download, both of these items were 1 simoliean each for your sims to buy, and both have fairly good ratings.  I'm annoyed a recent patch changed their prices to a more resonable price, taking away a nice little exploit for poor sims.

I agree that babysitters are truly annoying. I had a message while my sims were out dancing say, "I have to go now". My sims had to rush home and the baby was starving with no social interaction and a dirty diaper.

Babysitters are annoying. Maids are annoying. Even butlers are sometimes annoying!

I agree! But... sometimes?! I mean, they cook and cook and rinse and repeat until the whole house is covered in food. :o

The most annoying thing (okay, I'm exaggerating) is a butler who cooks when I need to learn the cooking skill. Or a butler who cooks when my needs are static.  ::)

Exactly! Especially when my Sim is overstuffed. >:(

But there is a solution to this. Lock the door(s) of the kitchen to the butler. So he/she will keep throwing tantrum, but at least won't unnecessarily stuff your Sims with perfect quality food. ;D
