I think that it's pretty darn annoying when they climb out of bed to pass out on the floor! ::)

Also, I love Simbots and I've played a few. However, it's usually the LTR, so none of my Sims have very high handiness from inventing, so when I short them out to reprogram them, I always call the repairman. However, want to know what they usually do? Attempt to repair him/her, get singed, and then walk around in their underwear and eat my food until I fire or dismiss them. XD

If you have an actual question about Simbots, you need to post it somewhere else because it's off topic here.  If there's not an existing topic that fits, you can start a new topic for it.

Do us all a favour EA & give us the option to turn it off already! I fear that the Celebrity system will only get worse with Showtime, I hope not.

Rainbow, if you are comfertable using Mods, modthesims.info has a Story Progression mod, eliminating Celebrities and Vampires.

I personally like the Celebrities and Vampires.

@xFezIsAFreakx Ohmygosh, that was me when I first started playing Sims 3! I had a really crappy computer, and even at the lowest possible settings it was completely buggy. Tons of clothing glitches. For example, I didn't even know that pregnant sims had a larger tummy until I got my new computer! That part completely glitched out on me. Hope you enjoy your new computer! It made a world of difference for me.

@jeanamariex3 Okay, I'm not too knowledgeable about computers, but I've always wondered why the graphics ARE so glitchy/require so many power...I mean, my new computer is only a year old, top of the line when it came out, and I still have to run the game at mostly medium settings. My Mac is bootcamped, and I run Skyrim at nearly top settings with only minimal glitches, but if I try to do the same for Sims 3 it completely breaks my game. I don't get it. It really sucks that Sims 3 is so glitchy, because an important part of the game is the ability to continue with the same household/neighborhood for a long time, which you can't do if your game slowly fills with more and more bugs over time.

People mentioned Simbots, which reminds me of another annoyance. I hate that Sims in the same household always get surprised at a Simbot and cancel their action queue. After they've seen the same Simbot like 50 times, don't you think they would stop doing that? In one household I eventually locked the Simbot in the basement because I wanted to play a Simbot but it was too annoying to have it in the main household.

Oh it's not the Celebrities themselves that annoy me, I even made a couple of Celebs once. It's the fact that it's too easy for your Sim to become famous even when you DON'T want them too. It's mostly the Papparazzi buzzing around & the ridiculous accusations that really bug me. In this game I'm playing, I have more Celebrities than I've ever had before & it's starting to be a pain.  ::)

If it puts your mind at ease, I'm finding it virtually impossible to raise my current sim's celebrity level past level 1...and I actually want to.  I'm not getting opportunities with any regularity, and the ones I am getting are giving like 10 points.

I don't whether to be happy about this or not.  ::) I know that some careers fom LN (Actor/Director mostly) help with raising the Celebrity level faster, do the Magician, Acrobat and Singer careers do that? (We don't get Showtime until tomorrow).

Singer, at least, doesn't require it and there isn't anything in that profession that seems to make it go up any faster.  I don't imagine the other professions are any different in that respect.  I only wanted the Celebrity Points for show (she is a diva, after all :P) and to get all those neat items that celebrities get.

And the last thing is the one reason I could never understand why celebrities bothered everyone so much.  I mean...people give you free stuff!  Who doesn't like free stuff?   ;D

Yeah the free gifts and discounts are neat, there are some perks to being a Celebrity. Like I said before, Celebrities don't bother me, Paparazzi and losing friendships over stupid accusations do.  :P Maybe I'll try playing a Celebrity again one day, could always use the free stuff!

I just ignore the paparazzi. All they do is taking pictures lol. They don't try and talk to my sims, as a matter of fact if your sim talk to them they will go away for a while. :P

Last night I had a paparazzo pop up right at bedtime, so I set the horse on him.  He really wanted to feed her a treat, but she kept kicking him.  Wonder who made her do that?   :P

For paparazzi, delete them with the shift+click cheat.

I hate when they break into my homes and start jumping on the trampoline.

I love doing that. :) Sometimes if tough to get them in a area with enough room for the horse to kick.

Long loading and even longer saving times. That's all I can think of now that is annoying. And those bugs now and than of course. Happy that the benefits outweights the downsides.

Better yet is to become friends with them and they leave you alone a lot more. They still take your picture; but, they don't hang around long becuse your already their friend.

Sunset Valley in general pretty much annoys me. It seems in Sunset Valley, there's no variety, and the same things happen, with the same Sims, over and over again. (Fiona is always reading a book when I send a Sim to the hospital to have her baby, Stiles is standing there, freaking out. The Bunch Family is having a picnic in central park, the lack of Insane Sims, Marty and Justine are playing catch, Xander is at the gym.) There's nothing different happening within the Sims. Naturally, I prefer the other default town, Riverview. That town has more interesting situations with Story Progression, and, different, I may add. Plus, my favorite classic Sims are in that town.

I think I'm annoyed that there's only two Insane Sims per world, in Sims 3. We need more Insane Sims.
