I thought of something else that I dislike about the game. I don't like that their isn't a blank neighborhood that I can build from scratch, like in the Sims 2. I hardly ever played the premade neighborhoods in the TS2. I enjoyed building all the houses and people. It'd be nice to be able to do that in TS3, especially with the ability to customize everything! And don't ask about Creat a World. I have no talent with that.

It takes awhile, but I've done it and it can be fun: delete all the houses and community lots.  I like this because I'm left with the landscaping that existed off the lots.  Once you go through it with a 'hood once, you can save that twice with two different names.  One can be a blank copy you use when you feel like playing in that style, the other can be the one you play with that moment.

While playing this morning, I got really annoyed by something...

My dynasty founder married Thornton Wolff's wife, Morgana. She lived a normal life and died by her 90 days. 4 generations later, Thornton Wolff passed away.

How in the world does that happen?

I've tried that, but some of the community buidling cannot be rebuilt, unless they appear in TownLife Stuff, which I don't have yet. But saving the neighborhood in it's blank state is a good idea! I may...eventually...have to give it another shot.

Story progression can be a mystery sometimes. Before I abandoned Appaloosa I was about to reach Immortality with my first heir, and Ethan Parrot was still a teen... even though he was already a child when my heir was born. Really weird. Maybe it's a bug, or a glitch, who knows.

No, thats what I found odd! And I doubt he bought the potion to stop aging or learned how to make ambrosia,, I'm pretty sure sims do that on their own :p

Another small thing that tocked me off a few minutes ago... My twin babies are not the same astrological sign.
Her mother would have spent months giving birth to them  :o

That made me laugh  ;D

I've never understood much of sims' astrological signs though. Do they really matter in-game? I've never noticed any difference between them.

It matters when they are older to see who they are compatible with. I had the same problem with twins before; and as they got older, one was a few days older than her twin.

Pets can only die of old age.  Not fire, hunger, or anything.  It's sad, but pets do die of fire and hunger in real life and think they could at least die of hunger in sims 2.

No way! I honestly don't mind pets dying of old age only. Starvation and fire just seem too unethical to me. I don't think it should be realistic that way at all. That's just crossing the line right there. (This is coming from an animal lover, cats mainly, and a vegetarian, but still). Losing a pet in the real world is devastating, especially with unnatural causes, and I would never want my Sims to go through the same thing. Animals could starve in the original "Unleashed" but Unleashed was more about animals in general, as appose to pets. I barely remember TS1 though.

Yeah, I agree with Jeana. My very old 16-year-old dog died two months ago of cancer and it was awful for me. He convulsed one night and ended up with brain damage. I had him since I was 7 so I almost didn't remember life without him. I also had my 10-year-old mare die of pneumonia a few years ago and it was very sad too. I just wouldn't want to revive  that in the game  :'( .

I've lost numerous pets.  About two years ago, I lost my beloved pet rabbit.  So I understand you, but they aren't real people to me.  I want at times for a pet to so that I can add a new human sim to the family and not have to give it up.  I rather a pet live its entire life with a family than put it up, expecially when it's all they know. (not in real life).

I don't find Toddlers needy at all. Even without the Swing Chair they are not needy. Just give them some toys and they keep themselves happy in my game.
I don't find them very needy either if you let them play with the dollhouse or a teddy bear their social needs are quickly filled. It's more that they can't interact with other Sims and not communicate their needs even when they have learned to talk.
The parents are quite clueless though. I forgot to tell one of my Sims to put down the toddler she was carrying before leaving for a party. She brought the kid to the house of the party and attempted to put her down outside and go inside and party by herself.
I made her bring the toddler with her and let her play with her teddy bear while mom partied.

What's up with all the toy looking things that came with Generations like pirate ship and such that can't be played with, only viewed?

Yeah, I really liked the Ambitions EP actually, but I felt EA could have done more. There are lots of new stuff, like the hippo or the giraffe, that at first I looked at them and said "yay, new toys!"... but no. I think Toddlers got kind of ignored in the EP compared with kids and teenagers. They did get some new stuff, but not many.
