Come to think of it, I used to want height, but now that I look at it, I kind of like Sims being the same height. I'm 5'0" which means I should be using a teen body to create my Sim Self, and now I think height just wouldn't look right! As soon as I pictured it, it looked too much like cradle robbing.

What annoys me is that, my pets can't go on vacation with me.

I'm really not too bothered about height, either, I think it really would look too weird in some cases. Even though it's a life simulation game, not every aspect of it needs to be like real life. If height does ever come, I reckon it will be on Sims 4 because it would require a whole new rewiring of the game if they introduced it now, which I don't think would really come with a new EP or anything.

I'm still hoping for hair length sliders, I'm sure that can be done, or at least I hope so. :D

Pathing is a major issue. It's both annoying and a waste of valuable time. Wish EA would fix it.

I think the 3 or 4 things that rally annoy me in the sims are when a sims decides to wake up the entire house by turning on a stereo! All sims ever want to do when there is one in the house is dance. I also HATE having to care for babies and toddlers! The cry too much and don't let my sims do everything they have to because they too time consuming. I hate that sims fet this embarrased moodlet and make such a scandal about being interrupted while showering. I hate that my sims spontaneously decide playing computer games is a better idea thn eating or going to work and lastly I hate when sims get all fuzzed up because the object they need is already in use.

But that's it haha I don't have pets or generation so no problems with those...

The worst thing about being a celebrity: When you have a trumped-up scandal, and it ruins your friendship with THE BABY. Which sticks the baby with a huge "Lost A Friend" moodlet unless you want to get up in the middle of the night and snuggle the baby until you're friends again. And it also ruins your friendship with THE DOG. Why does the dog care if I rummaged through trashcans or peed in public? Left to his own devices, the dog would spend his day rummaging through trashcans and peeing in public.

I think they needed to aim the Scandal-Related Friendship-Destroying Ray Gun a little more carefully.

I suspect, based on my own anecdotal experience, that if a sim has reached BFF status with a pet, their relationship will not suffer as a result of scandal.  I had a sim who had a child out of wedlock and her reputation suffered.  Her dog, with whom she was BFFs, didn't care, but her relationship with her cat, not yet a BFF, did suffer.  I'm very surprised she and her son didn't start out as enemies, given that it seems entirely logical (using the lack of logic inherent in your cat having societal morals) to have the baby hate her for having him out of wedlock, too.   :P

Sims do seem completely obsessed with water. Whether it's the sprinkers or the hot tub, they're always crowding it!
That's only because they can't swim in the ocean.

Welcome to the forum. I absloutly agree with this statement 100%. The biggest hate I have about babies, is that if you cheat on your partner, and they witness it, they hate you. That is ridiculous. I don't like how the toddlers are picked up every 5 seconds. I actually feel bad for the babies and toddlers in Sims 3.(That's why I stick to Sims 2 when playing with toddlers. ;))

I just read all 13 pages of this, laughing out loud and nodding for most of it. Many of these are largely the reason that I prefer to play with Free Will off.

There are still plenty of things that bug me without free will on, though. Memories, of course, is probably the main one (even though I've turned the notifications off, it's still a pain ;)). Another one that really, REALLY annoys me is the routing issues that are particularly prevalent in Pets. Whenever my sim wants to interact with her dog, be it rubbing his belly or praising/scolding, they apparently like to use the stairs a lot. If they're both in the same room downstairs, I'll instigate the interaction, then the dog and sim will both wander upstairs, stomp their feet in the 'I can't go there' dance, then both trawl back downstairs before finally completing the action. You were in the kitchen when I told you to do that, why did you need to spend 2 sim hours wandering about to find the best place to do it only to come back to the kitchen anyway?! Arrgh.

Also, celebrities. Period. I'm almost tempted to uninstall LN because of it. I hate that there's not really any way to avoid getting at least one star by some point in your sim's lifespan, and I hate even more that you can't sort of 'opt out' of being a celeb. And let's not talk about the fifty million phone calls asking you to 'befriend so and so', 'work out for 4 hours' or 'eat at the Bistro'. GO AWAY.

Hello and thank you :) right now I can't really remember what the situation was with babies in the sims...I recall that toddlers had to learn the same things as now and a nursery song! But not really how often they cried or got annoying haha and yeah I agree with you on that! It's not like th babies know what cheating is... They can't even see what goes on in rooms.

I don't have pets but this has always been a huge problem for me! I detest when they go to the strangest places to do something dumb that they could have done in the room they were in.

Sims do that when someting is in their way. Let him play outside with the dog lol! And for the footstomping it was must worse in sims2. Sims3 is a big improvement:)

It's such a pain, isn't it? It always wastes so much time!

Oh, I can't deny it's an improvement on TS2. But I've seen them do the exact same thing when they're standing out in the garden! Haha.

You can shut this off - kind of! When "your agent" calls, accept the opportunity and just never do it. Celebrity opportunities never expire, and there's no penalty for not doing it, and you won't get new calls offering celebrity opportunities until it's done or canceled. (Or "suppress opportunities" entirely in the Options panel, but that won't help if you intend to do skill and career opportunities.) The one drawback is that this will also take up your "special opportunity" slot, so you won't get local events or "Oh My Ghost"...

Oooh! That's exceptionally helpful, thank you! I'm sure I can live without special opportunities, I only really tend to do skill and career ones anyway. :)
