Hi livvielove, about the martial arts, I noticed that too and have figured out that the higher ranking sim is put at the same level as the lower ranking sim.  This makes the match even for both.  Hope that helps.

Thank you for that! At least now I know that it's not just the game hating my Sims. The "Rank" system seriously annoys me in the Sims right now. I mean, your Sim could use the Chess board to max out their logic, while playing against another person and still fail just about every match equal to how many they win! I never take those "Beat __ Opponents in a Row" because it never happens! It doesn't matter if my Sim has Martial Arts/Logic at 10 and the other person only has it at 1... they will lose just as much as they win! I swear I had a girl built for the Chess Master (Lucky, Genius, the works) who only ever used the chess board. I never let her touch any other logic skill object. She won 20 matches, and lost 19. It's like they don't want you to ever feel accomplishment over these things!

One quick post to show I’m still around.

The load times! They’ve quickly become a huge nuisance since I haven’t played in quite awhile. I know it can’t really be helped with 7 expansions installed and possibly counting, but it bothers me so much now! By the time I actually get to the game, I’ve already lost my motivation to play! It doesn’t help when I pre-occupy myself with Mario Kart or something, because then I get sucked into that game instead. Even saving takes about the same time as loading screens for some games that I know of. *coughSonic06cough*

Also, Sims pulling out their smartphones when I switch away from them for a second. Geez, I think that’s mirroring real life a bit too much right there.

Ohh, and there was one other thing I was going to mention, but I forgot. Maybe it had to do with the still-constant crashing? Fortunately, I’ve been much better about saving and making efficient use of the Saver mod. That reminds me, my game’s not fully patched up because I’m too lazy to update my mods. Meh, maybe tomorrow. Or the day after. Possibly next month.

EDIT: Just started the update, and woah. How many patch releases did I miss!? It’s downloading the 1.6 GB patch thing usually done by the game after a reinstall! That is insane, but now at least I have some more time to catch up over here.

This is largely my fault, but the permanency of the error bugs me. My first time using University Life, I noticed the option to make a cheat sheet around exam day, and foolishly used it for both the sims I had at the same time. Where I go to University, some courses allow you to bring cheat sheets, courses like physics, chemistry, and statistics which have a lot of formulas to keep track of (some let you bring your own, others provide them for you), so I was thinking that I was going to be underprepared if I didn't make them.

Of course, as soon as their made I read the moodlet and realized my mistake, and then found out there was nothing I could do about it without loading a much earlier save. I didn't tell them to cheat, and they didn't need to, but they got caught on their first and second exams, making for 5 exams failed between them (it lowers your academic score so much that you can't pass subsequent exams without cheating).

So basically, since my sims would have passed everything without cheating and I was being silly, I picked an option that essentially allows me to volunteer to fail most or all of my exams, and I can't decide down the road to be honest. They still passed, but went from A's to C's.

What's really annoying me lately is my townies clothing! I recently found out you can change their clothing etc, so I've slowly been making my townies more fashionable. But then something weird happens and they end up in even worse clothes than they started. My young adult Sim moved out, and today saw her father, who was wearing the nice t-shirt/waistcoat (vest) combo that I'd given him, but was wearing brown shorts and no shoes with it. I've noticed a lot of the townies in mixed up costumes with those brown shorts (male and female) and sometimes I'll get an extra everyday outfit which is one of my outfits but with the ugly brown shorts! I think making townies with some semblance of fashion sense is a lost cause!

Something that's been irritating me lately is the outfits that come out of nowhere. Like I start a new game with a sim fresh from CAS and a few hours into playing they'll start changing into they're everyday outfit, only with a DIFFERENT hairstyle. It's a copy of the same everyday outfit except for the HAIR. It wouldn't bother me that much if the hair was actually attractive, but it's always a style that looks horrible. And it sucks because the only way to get rid of it is to go into CAS and delete the outfit.

The frustration is real, my friends.

The pregnant walk. I'm really hoping they don't do that in Sims 4!

Another thing that drives me crazy is the stupid sprinklers. Excuse me, but you do not need to play in the sprinklers at 3 am instead of sleeping.
I can explain - when they programmed that part of the behavior routine somebody accidentally switched moisturizing and seeking moisture from indoor to outdoor type. An honest mistake, and easily overlooked... for 11 expansions.

I hate that sims are always disgusted by ghosts! One of my families are almost all ghosts and they always react negatively when seeing a ghosts - even if they are a ghost themselves!

Also, alot of the opportunities keep returning time after time after time. And sometimes the rewards aren't really worth all the work it takes to complete them.

I'm pretty sure someone has probably already put this.. But geez it really gets on my nerves when my mermaid sim would rather swim instead of take his super fast boat. I had to move his house off of a nice island by itself to the main island just so he could get places quicker! And then when I tried to make him into a human again he would still find ways into the water. Silly merman.. ::)

At the moment CAS and the dresser is driving me to the point of insanity. Every single time I use CAS or a dresser for longer then five minutes my game crashes.
Leaving my Sims fashion choices in the lap of the Sim gods is burning my eyes.

I hate when my Sims suddenly ignore me -3-

Just when I'm not looking they're sometimes cancel my queues that I assigned for them. That also ruined everything that I've planned for them. Grrr....

How long they take to do anything at all. Lately, I've just been happy if my sim is out the front door by the time she needs to be at work.  >:(

Yeah, it does seem to take forever for some interactions to complete.

Right now my biggest pet peeve is the attraction system. My sim family just threw a wedding party (well, a double wedding) and invited all of the parents and a few of the siblings. As the guests began to arrive I began to receive a barrage of notifications that "we have so much in common". Literally everyone who showed up was attracted to one or more of the members of the household. It was so bad that one of the grooms had those attraction hearts over him while I was trying to take screencaps of the actual ceremony!

The routing issues really annoy me - I am just almost certain that routing in TS2 wasn't this bad.  When they get stuck somewhere (particularly when two of them trap one another) I get so annoyed!  I'm not one to kill my Sims, but sometimes when they get stuck I find myself wanting to!

I also get irritated with the "obsession" behavior - the household I'm playing right now *used* to have a rocking chair, but I had to get rid of it because everyone young adult and up would spend all their time in it.  If one Sim was sitting in it, another Sim would come along and throw a tantrum because it was being used.  They also get obsessed with their smart phones sometimes, and that annoys me too.

When there's a fire and it literally takes forever to get your Sim to call 911 because they're running around a foot away from the fire screaming and flailing their arms.  :P

It frustrates me how my Sims always want to look out the window, or check out a new object.
